Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Hi everyone I was in the ER for about 7 hours yesterday with my brother with severe dizziness and after lots of test was admitted to the hospital at about 9:00 last night. The last test yesterday they conducted was an MRI and it showed I apparently had a mini stoke. I am having a lot more test today and seeing lots of folks. I have been visited so far by my nurse, the main doctor, OT, PT, and a speech swollow specialist. More to come all day long and maybe tomorrow. Would appreciate any prayers or good thoughts you might send on my behalf. Scout

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Scout, that's a lousy way to get to socializing. ER folks are too busy to make small talk. Add my prayers along side the others and get well soon.

Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted April 1, 2021 Author Posted April 1, 2021 I am HOME!!!! Cleaned up after being in the hospital for 3 days. I had a TIA (mini-stroke) that affected my cerebellum which controls the equilibrium thus my crazy dizziness. Tuesday is now the scariest thing I have ever experienced and never want to again. In addition to the blood pressure medicine I am already taking they have added one aspirin a day and Lipitor for my Hi LDL cholestrol. Apparently all the MANY tests came back good except for the blood pressure and cholesterol. Looks like I need to work on my diet plus add exercising (which I don't currently do). Will try and get in to see my Primary Care Physician tomorrow to discuss how I should move forward from this episode and what restrictions on work and other things he recommends for now. The Physician Discharge Instructions are "Activity as Tolerated". For now I just need to move slow with no sudden head movements. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts on my behalf. I really appreciate them.
