Blackwater 53393 Posted February 15 Share Posted February 15 I had to take my li’l darlin’, Schoolmarm, to the emergency room this morning! She’d been under the weather for several days, but not in any apparent distress until Monday. I fussed at her and finally convinced her, yesterday, to seek medical attention, which she arranged for this morning! When I got up this morning, she told me to keep MY appointment with the foot doctor, but that she felt too bad to go to her appointment. I told her to be ready to go to the emergency room as soon as I got back home. Instead, I had to help her get dressed and get Hatfield to help me get her into the car. She has been admitted, after several hours of testing and preadmission treatment with a bad ph balance, dehydration, and shortness of breath. Blackwater 53393 Posted February 15 Author Share Posted February 15 I went home last night to get my own meds taken care of and to try and sleep some. When I got back to the hospital, they informed me that she tested positive for Covid to go along with everything else. They are IVing mass amounts of fluids and running all sorts of tests and blood work. She seems to be resting more comfortably, breathing some better, and she ate some breakfast before I arrived.
