Highwall Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 salt is a necessity of life and used since ancient times as a seasoning, a preservative and a disinfectant. I put it on watermelon, cantaloupe, cooked vegetables, steak and eggs.

It’s not good for ya’ in large quantity and there are other seasonings that offer more and better flavor with less detrimental effects. I use pepper, (several different varieties) in place of salt and have experienced a lower average blood pressure as a result. Having tried salt on different melons and other fruits, I only find it pleasing on tomatoes. Not bad in small dashes on cucumber.
