Last night the city of Edgewood NM voted to become a 2nd. Amendment Sanctuary City. Our very own SASS CEO Misty Moonshine and Wildshot spoke at the meeting. I could not be more proud to be a part of a organization that walks the walk. You can listen to the audio here  Misty starts at about 1:08-15 followed by WIldshot.

What was the outcome of the vote?

Passed 3 to2.

I wonder if the 2 no votes know that the Edgewood PD was doing their weapons quals at Founders only a couple hours earlier.  Santa Fe SWAT is conducting training tomorrow.  The Torrance Co. Sheriff's office not only trains here, but did the photo shoot for their calendar on site.  Local Law Enforcement knows who supports them.

Wildshot and other SASS members also attended the hearings at the State Legislature this year (as in years past) then anti 2A bills are brought forth.  SASS members,  were in attendance for the 2A Sanctuary County vote in Torrnance County, which passed UNANIMOUSLY!

2nd. Amendment Sanctuary City

What does that mean exactly?

According to the resolution passed in Torrance County, the Sheriff will not use any resources to enforce the (unconstitutional and unenforceable) background check law passed by the State Legislature, nor will the County Council allocate any resources towards such enforcement.

Which opens the door for the state to step in and replace the local police with State Police. This all sounds good for a sound bite.:(

With 14 NM counties already declaring 2A sanctuary they are gonna need more troopers.

New Mexico is over 100,000 square miles.  The NMSP is only a few hundred officers.  Some posts are 1 officer for hundreds of square miles.  Their only backup is the local Sheriffs.  Plus Mickey Mouse crap like background checks for a gun sale between 2 friends whose families have been here for 400+ years is not on their radar.

Also, we take our Sheriffs seriously.  In most of the state, they are the sole Law Enforcement agency.  It's not like some minimized department back east where all they do is transport cons to the jail.  They are the front line and can't function without the support of the citizens.

MLG is only temporary. The voters of New Mexico are awakening to her super liberal leanings. She will most likely be viewed as a total leftist, perhaps worse than Tony Anaya in NM state politics. There is a petition for recall of the Governor already gaining momentum in the state.

This would cause constitutional chaos and its doubtful that the NMSP would intervene on the Governors behalf at that point. Additionally, The New Mexico constitution forbids state LEO from enforcing unconstitutional acts passed by the legislature. The new leftist Governor and her cronies are a debacle!

While I don’t expect anyone to listen to the entire audio, I have to point out that NM District 50 Rep. McQueen was present at this meeting. He spoke to the council in opposition of approving the resolution to declare Edgewood a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary city. At the conclusion of public comment, each councilor was then given the opportunity to speak. At 1:22:45, you can hear one of our Town Councilors, Audrey Jaramillo, respectfully pose a question to Rep. McQueen that dropped jaws in the room... “Who did you think you were representing?”

Kudos, Ms. Jaramillo!

MLG may be temporary but she and her cronies/stooges control the most populace regions of the state.  Poor Dona Ana County is poorly represented by a crook Quisling of a Sheriff who supports MLG 110%.  Dona Ana isn't helped by having our own version of AOC as a US Rep...Xochitl Torres-Small-Useless.

MLG has her thought police out trying to crush dissent though:  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/democrat-secretary-of-state-denies-petition-for-gun-law-repeal-in-new-mexico

People need to wake up! There are politicians all over our country with viewpoints like this. With the new wave of leftism that is being force fed by the mainstream media, our lesser informed, more impressionable voters are being pulled into this nonsense. Share this audio and any other pro-2nd info with everyone you know!

It is an onslaught and WE have to fight it with all we have.
