Here are a few more ideas:

“Cimarron Rose”

or, “The Rose of the Cimarron,” she was an actual historical figure who rode with an outlaw gang in her very early teen years. Was caught and became respectable, married well and passed on in her 70’s in the early 1950’s.

”Cattle Kate”

An historical figure who was a homesteader who tried to make a living running a few cows and was hung (murdered) by powerful cattle interests in Wyoming.

“Lori Darlin’ ”

An historical figure of sorts. From the 1989 TV mini-series, Lonesome Dove, the character of Lorena Wood Parker was played by actress, Diane Lane. Lorena was a sweet girl who became a prostitute and was loved by most of her clients. Robert Duvall’s character, Gus McCrae called Lorena “Lori Darlin’ ” Every cowboy knows this beautifully done movie, so if you haven’t seen Lonesome Dove, it’s a must-see.

EDIT---EDIT

Lonesome Dove is a book written by Larry McMurtry and the mini-series is from the book There are four Gus McCrae, Woodrow Call novels. All were made into TV mini-series and all are pretty well done, although Lonesome Dove is the most memorable. The books are:

Dead Man's Walk

Comanche Moon

Lonsome Dove

Streets of Laredo

Here is a second suggestion: Deluvina Maxwell. Deluvina was the young woman Billy the Kid came visiting when shot by Pat Garrett. She has a very interesting story herself. Most other personalities in the Billy the Kid saga as taken for alias's. Why not Deluvina?

Sacagewea, good name, has steel in it...

or

Lucille Mulhall, she was girly, but also a tremendous rodeo star - Known as one of the first women to compete with men in roping and riding events, she was called Rodeo Queen, Queen of the Western Prairie, and Queen of the Saddle (among many other appellations). She starred in the Miller Brothers' 101 Ranch Wild West Show, formed her own troupe in 1913 and performed in
many rodeo and Wild West shows throughout her career. She produced her own rodeo in 1916. She retired to her family's ranch in Mulhall around 1922

Molly Maguire. The name given to the secret society of coal miners around the Civil War time that either were organized crime or organized labor depending on your view point. The actual name was Molly Maguires

Looking at her picture, what immediately came to mind was "Chica Bonita." Like the way it rolls off the tongue.

Regards, TJH

Jim, did you know there is a bar of some bad repute down here on Harry Hines called 'Chicos Bonitas'? I've been told the girls take their clothes off in there.
