Confederate Battle Shirts
Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683 replied to Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683's topic in SASS Wire
Yep. Like I said though, I have long since known about these companies. Does anyone know of people who might make them as a side business of sorts? There was someone who sent me pictures way back when of some of his/her work, but for the life of me, I cannot remember who. I was especially inerested in that person's product line, as they made replicas of the batle shirts worn in "Ride With The Devil." Oh well, that's what I get for not saving stuff... -
I think I posted this question years ago, but didn't save the answers. I have also "googled" it to death. Do any of y'all know people/small companies that make the confederate battle shirts, like the ones that were worn by Quantrill's raiders? If you do, I would be forever in your debt.

An old friend of mine works for an aircraft fastener manufacturer. They recently attended a function in DC to receive a preferred supplier award from some government agency (I do not remember which one). Their host/guide that day kept telling Paul and his entourage how "appreciatory" they were of Paul's employer. APPRECIATORY?????? Where in the blue hell did THAT b*st*rdized word come from? And to make matters worse, the gentleman using the word kept reminding Paul about his Masters degree. SHEESH! -
Fiber Wads in Plastic Shotshells?

Clean up is not that big a deal, Yusta. I am just looking for a way to make it easier. You know me, I'm lazy as all getout. -
Pards, I am toying with the notion of using fiber wads in plastic shotgun shells with my BP loads, in lieu of plastic wads. I'm thinking it will make for easier cleaning, as I won't have to clean out the melted wads from the insides of the barrels. Have any of you done this? If so, have you noticed any difference in shot spread during firing, or anything like that? As usual, thank you in advance.

All of this reminded me of an article in Aviation Week that I read years ago. Congress was going through one of its many gyrations at the time to cancel production of the A-10 Warthog. Piper Aircraft was preparing an unsolicited bid for what they called a low-cost alternative. The engineers at Piper had taken a vintage P-51 airframe and modified it to hold a turboprop engine and a (if I remember correctly) 30mm cannon. Obviously the A-10 was never cancelled, so Piper's prototype never went anywhere. But it sure would have been interesting.

How many state shoots could you do in 1 year?
Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683 replied to Key Hay's topic in SASS Wire
Probably 7 or 8 regularly in the South. With this scenario, I would also try to hit a different state out west or up north every year as well,to keep it iinteresting. -
Pards, what is the easiest way to disable the safety on a Stoeger? Pictures will help. Thanks.
