Gender Reveal..Drumroll……..

Turns out the fluffy Mrs. Pedicaris is a dude!

Now I need a new name!!

And pronoun. :D

I was told by some cat fanciers that her rather zaftig pulchitrude indicated a feline of the female persuasion.

They were wrong. He is in my opinion a robust Norwegian Forrest Cat.

More Ragnar than Lagertha.

Capt. Jerome perhaps?

Capt. Jerome, USMC : Gentlemen, if we fail and are killed, I certainly hope the world DOES go to war!

[raises glass as a toast]

Adm. Chadwick : The world at war!

Gummere : A world war? Now THAT would be something to go out on...

I loved The Wind and the Lion. The march to the palace and the shooting was awesome.

I had some zillion hash mark buddies who sure had the correct attitude.

Semper Fi!!!

It’s bad luck to change a cat’s name.  I think you are stuck.

With all respect to the scientific ship name debacle of several years past, how about Catty McCatface?

Taking Dr. J-Bar’s advice, how about just dropping the “Mrs”?

Pedicaris is a unique name.

Nah... just gotta put a penny under the mast, invoke the name of Poseidon, make offerings to the four winds, have a slug o' rum....

When the stray presented me with a litter on my front porch two Springtimes ago, included in the package were a pair of tuxedo kittens.  One was dubbed "Tennessee" (of course!), and the other became Charley.  Tennessee got adopted, but I still have Charley.  Yup... he's definitely a Charley.  ^_^

It’s probably bad luck to name a cat in the first place. :D

Our first cat was a stray the the kids insisted on keeping. I said if it stays, I'm naming it. It was a female that lived many prolific years. Her name was "General Sterling Price." I mean.... if that's good enough for John Wayne... then...

Sounds like a reasonable solution to me.

My last cat was Petronius Romulus Germanicus, but he refused to answer to anything other than Pete.

Wait...a cat answered to anything?

He was a bit ‘different’. A Manx cat, who acted more like a dog and came to me whenever I called him. Anyone recognize the fictional cat I named him after? A product of the best sci-fi author ever.
