Clay Mosby
I heard gruesom is planning to spend $5 million to buy 1000 trailers for the homeless. irish ike, SASS #43615
Nevada is on a 30 day stay inside all non-essential businesses to be closed. Sort of. All the casinos have closed. Some restaurants and fast food places let you place an order and they will bring it out to your car. Someone asked if gun stores are "essential". Sort of like double secret probation. Stay indoors but you can go to the grocery store, bank, gas stations, doctor etc. 30 cases in the entire state. Me thinks this and the rest of the leadership in this country are making something out of nothing. SO far less of an issue than the swine flu and nothing was hardly said in the news back then. Maybe it's all about hiding the fact that Trump will win and Joe won't remember to vote!

One of the nastier side effects of getting the Covid -19 virus is viral or bacterial pneumonia. Now I'm wondering how long this has been around. Back in September, I started feeling bad with shortness of breath and dry cough. Got bad enough that I went to the doc, had a chest x-ray and he said bacterial pneumonia. Got antibiotics and and it kind of got better but not complete, started to get worse. October 2, started coughing up blood. Went to the hospital for 9 days, all in a negative air pressure room as they were worried about TB. Ended up that they said the infection was related to strep but they weren't sure. I smoked 2 packs cigarettes a day for 40+ years, quit cold turkey. Before the "pneumonia", I had no problems with lung function. I've had all the tests for lung cancer, nothing.....but I have considerably reduced lung function. Could this have been around a bunch longer than stated? Got to wonder. No doubt... but I was only focused on the part about "possible diminished lung capacity" in response to Cactus Jack's query. Even that's still not clear, although a consideration. Hence my "Could be some substance to it." Diminished lung capacity is a way of life for me. Quote Recovered coronavirus patients can be left with damaged lungs, researchers in Hong Kong have claimed. A small study of 12 patients discharged from hospital showed that two or three had reduced lung function. However, it is too early to confirm any long term effects. "In some patients, lung function could decline by about 20 to 30 percent after recovery," says Dr. Owen Tsang Tak-yin, medical director of the Infectious Diseases Centre at Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong. "They wheeze when they go a little faster".

An internet posting of an Italian Medical study of victims who have survived Covid-19. It said not everyone had that much damage. My son did not know % of people effected. So I guess this is more of the information that may or may not be significant. The point raised by my son was all those young people on Spring Break are risking more than just being sick with a virus they are statistically likely to recover from. They may have serious lasting damage. CJ
