Bama Red
Hero? No, UB, not a hero.. Â The heroes are the ones in uniform that are coming home with these types of injuries. The heros may not even know beforehand that they're going to be missing a limb. They wake up in a field hospital somewhere, after an IED has taken out their Humvee and maybe killed their best friend. They may have TBI (traumatic brain injury) or PTSD. And there are way too many of these heroes. Â I'm just a guy trying to deal with a surgical event. I even had a choice about whether or not to do this procedure. I do appreciate the compliment, UB, as it means a great deal coming from you. Â Thanks, Pardner! Noz
My grandson had a friend in high school that had lost both feet in a lawn mower accident. He had one set of sockets that fit his stubs and several "feet" that could be attached to the sockets with allen screws. One of his favorite tricks was to take his "feet" off, turn them around and wear them backwards. Kid is 6'8" tall and 290 pounds.
