Sonic Commercials

Not sure if y'all see Sonic fast food commercials in your area. For those of you who do, do you find those two guys in car really irritating? Especially the doofus in the passenger seat? Wow, I just can't hit the mute button fast enough.

Yep, we just got our first Sonics a couple of years ago and the commercials are annoying.

Advertising does not always reflect what the company hopes the public will perceive.

Most of the time I can not understand what they are trying to sell me.

And then I reflect on how much money they (the sponsors) are spending to produce such drivel

and who is paying for that advertisement, and I go away thinking that I do not want

to support such stupid action.

I can't change the channel fast enough, I don't even want to see 'em

What keeps me out of Sonic is the food. All the burgers taste like they are half beef and half sawdust. As for their hot dogs, I've seen hot dogs and scrapple made - won't eat either one any more.

A few years ago they had a man and women in the car. They were both comedians and lot of their lines were ad libbed.

They were pretty funny. These two guys...not so much.

I focus on the cars. I have seen a 1972 Olds 442 convertible and a Buick Skylark xonvertible from 1973 or 1974.

Two guys still living with mom and hanging out with each other much too often....

Aside from Budweiser (and they haven't come up with anythin' gud in a while), there taint very many commercials I'z seen in my life that were werth wastin' any time on....

I'm trying to think of any ads that made me want to go out and buy the product.

I'm going to have to get back to you...

We get the commercials up here in Maine. I think the nearest one is 500+ miles away. But when visiting Oklahoma My wife and I liked their Cherry limeade with gin. We added the gin and only when we got home.

I usually DVR shows I want to watch just so I can skip though the commercials. The Sonic commercial is at the top of the list as to why I do so

They are there to attract the mentality kind that they portray. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, in one way you could say they are successful in their endeavor. They have us talking about their

commercial, and thus discussing their business. Perhaps that is the end game. I have never been able

to figure that out, but then again, nobody ever said I was smart.

What I dislike most is the constant repeating of ads in the same break. Advertising in general is annoying and the constant repetition simply makes it that much worse. -- GIT

True enough, Bob, but that still doesn't make advertising any less annoying and/or objectionable. -- GIT

Hitler was pretty annoying too. ;)

I've eaten at Sonic in Cortez only a few times. There's an open field next door and you can watch the prairie dogs sprint over to pick up dropped french fries.

One get's one's entertainment where one can.

The commercials wouldn't be so bad if they would not show the same ones over and over. The first time can be amusing, the second time not so much the 123 time it is not only not funny and annoying but makes me want them to go out of business so I'll never see one of their stupid commercials again.

Anyone remember the Busch Beer commercials with the two truck drivers looking for the Artisians because the beer was made with artisian well water? Those were pretty funny and the campaign was short.

How about Pepsi?

How about Pepsi?

No; that just made me want Cindy Crawford.

In the most ironic of situations, I HATE the Sonic commercials. I DESPISE our Quisling president. I find nothing enticing about the "Windy city".

I DO like the Sonic Chicago Dog..............a lot!

go figure
