This is third year since we tried to get FCGF as a recognized category. So feel free to try and get it on the TG agenda again. It's lots of work but go ahead. Jess Ducky and Half a Hand Henri are also at EOT representing FCGF. In my opinion it is a category who's time has come. Good luck. However, every time this comes up at a summit the discussion gets down to "exactly how many categories are we going to have?" EOT has 35 this year. Making new categories does not increase shooter participation. It simply dilutes the other categories. There is a segment of SASS that thinks there can't be to many categories, if one person is shooting that's plenty. However, endless categories are a match director's nightmare. Thus, as TG representing a large club and major match I am always instructed to vote no. Unless and until we get control over the category system and make some sense of it I am afraid it will continue to get voted down at the summits. Jack, I shoot Gunfighter with 45s filled with 2f. If FCGF isn't offered I sign up for regular old GF. Heck, I used to shoot Classic with BP. If the match does not offer FCGF, I just shoot as a gunfighter but use black powder anyway.
