For CAS, I'm really liking these birdshead Vaquero .45 acp's.

The Russians are a hoot too, albeit a bit clumsy to shoot - .44 Russian, of course. :)

My .32 Rimfire and some cartridges for it. My Great-Great Uncle carried it as Conductor on the Grand Trunk Railway and used it on a berserk passenger, armed with and axe.

I got a couple for ya’s!

Here’s a unicorn!

Taurus 450.  .45 Colt

And this one has had some life altering surgery!

IMG_0429.jpeg

It was a rusty, messed up .36 caliber Lyman when I got it. We cleaned off all the paint and bondo, (No! Really!) blasted the frame, jeweled the hammer, replaced the barrel with one from a stainless .357 Ruger Vaquero, fire blued all the screws, blued the loading lever and cylinder pin, and fitted it with an R&D .38 conversion cylinder!

Those are Water Buffalo grips with dimes inlaid and a half dime for a front sight.

That's one gun I'd love to have. I wish I'd gotten one when they were affordable. The idea of a gun like that has always intrigued me. A friend of mine had one and we both liked it. I should have gotten one then.

A few years ago I got a Charter Pitbull to fill the itch, but just never fell in love with it. I recently used it as trade stock to help finance the "Tombstone Special" I showed earlier in this thread.IMG_0426.jpeg

It IS a great shooting little revolver!  Point of aim, easily, out to fifty feet and more.  I use Hornady Critical Defense rounds in it for carry and recoil is surprisingly gentle with those cushiony Taurus grips.

I’ve been offered three times what I gave for it.

The gun is my 50th birthday present to myself. Colt, 45 cal, custom engraved by colt with my name and birthdate on back strap, custom grips by Joe Perkins, inlays are my brand and cast from old gold family rings from both sides of my family. The silver bullets are actually real silver bullets. I hand cast them myself from .999 silver using the lost wax process and they are loaded for real. If I ever have any werewolf problems around here they better get to me before I get to this gun !

Looks like the one Dan Matthews carried and occasionally shot in Highway Patrol.

Not recomended for every day carry but highly effective on Grandpa's when fired by a six year old.

I have the Taurus 445 model in 44 Special. I pocket carry it a lot. Really like it.

I’ve got a box of j-frames - but this m40-1 stands pretty

much alone

(missing chunks from the grips and all)
