A miracle happened.  It is NE Ohio in Apiril and the sun is shining. Still a few high hazy clouds but they seem to be disappearing.  Eclipse just started a few minutes ago.

We're down at Waterloo High School where my son teaches. We were only 99.8% at home. Went to the school about 25 minutes north. I'm glad we did a it was a totolly incredible sight in full totality. The temperature really dropped.

I’ll trade you for them. I have 8 pair of eclipse glasses. They work great. Wanna trade? I’ll throw in a cell phone filter.

We were in the 97% zone in SW Missouri. Just a tiny fingernail sliver of the sun was still visible during maximum coverage, but it still was remarkably light outside, even from that little dab of sun.  Glad those of you who got to experience totality enjoyed it.

Well the solar eclipse here in Florida was a "bust".
I prepared my own tubular "I Spy" viewing tool.

Here is the best the moon could do to cover the Sun.

The red points a 2 and 5 o'clock are solar flares. Correction solar prominences.

In totality I describe it as an erie dusk. Amazing how much temperature dropped. Total eclipse in upper right.20240408_151610.thumb.jpg.17b1ea3db1dc47fba9557f753a19d36f.jpg

The clouds came in right about the time the eclipse was suppose to happen here in CT.

Nothing here...Busy talking to tax guy...Trying to see how much I am being taken to the cleaners for....Not good but not bad either.....They are still getting some...Just wish they would not waste it....If I spent like they do, I would have been in the poor house years ago...And would still be there....

The next total solar eclipse visible from North America will be in 2033, but only over Alaska. Then in 2044, a total solar eclipse will cross Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, parts of Canada and Greenland. The next total solar eclipse to cross the continental U.S. coast-to-coast will occur in 2045.

News flash!  Evidently the eclipse was Trump's fault:

100% here in Northeast Ohio   Pretty cool! It got dark and the temp dropped. Street lights came on.

I can hardly wait for the next one here in 400 years!:P

I dont think you'll have to wait that long. The next one total one here locally will be in 2099. You probably better keep your eclipse glasses handy.:D

It won’t be a total eclipse though according to this

I stand corrected. The next total is in 2444 for us. The article said that unless there are great advances in science, we'll be dead by then. So keep your fingers crossed for those advances and keep those eclipse glasses handy.

Ellie & I went up to Northern VT to see it! It was pretty dang neat! Traffic not so much. Took us 3 1/2 hours to get home! Normally an hour and a half. Took an hour and forty to go 7 miles:rolleyes:, but was worth it!

Someone here in the Austin area took this picture. I thought it was a very good picture of the eclipse and our bluebonnets.

May be an image of Texas bluebonnet, Indian paintbrush and eclipse

Those would have to be some medical advances!
