DocWard
I was driving home from my daughter's today and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple came on. I was singing along when it got to the part about "Funky Claude was running in and out" and for some reason it struck me that "Funky Claude" would be an amusing alias. Of course there's "Tom Sawyer" from the Rush song. I'm sure there are plenty of others out there. Thoughts? Ideas?

Blackwater 53393
My alias is Rock inspired. The original alias was Blackwater Desperado. It was my third choice, back when you had to mail in your application and you offered three aliases. Blackwater is the title of the Doobie Brothers song and, of course, the Eagles’ Desperado. After more than ten years of writing all that on match entry forms and most folks having shortened it to Blackwater anyway, I called the SASS office and got it changed officially. ’Course, it’s been changed to Dishwater, Pondwater, Bathwater, and Badger Mountain Charlie called me Backwater for all those years, so I mostly answer to anything close, so long as I get called in time for supper and ya’ spell it right on the check!! 3

Yul Lose
Funny you should mention that, at Yuma for the Territorial Prison Break I was listening to Centerfold by the J Geils band and I thought that would make a great alias. Now finding someone to fit the alias might be hard to do. 1

Father Kit Cool Gun Garth
Savage Sid from Benny the Bouncer on the Brain Salad Surgery album. This shooter you would not want to mess with! Benny was the bouncer at the Palais de Dance He'd slash your granny's face up given half a chance. He'd sell you back the pieces, all for less than half a quid He thought he was the meanest- Until he met with Savage Sid. Now Sidney was a greaser with some nasty roots He poured a pint of Guinness over Benny's boots Benny looked at Sidney: Sidney stared right back in his eye. Sidney chose a switchblade And Benny got a cold meat pie. Oh! what a terrible sight, Much to the people's delight. One hell of a fight. Sidney grabbed a hatchet, buried it, in Benny's head. The people gasped as he bled: The end of a Ted? Well, they dragged him from the wreckage of the Palais in bits. They tried to stick together all the bits that would fit. But some of him was missing And "part of him" arrived too late, So now he works for Jesus As the bouncer at St. Peter's Gate. Father Kit Cool Gun Garth
Stagger Lee from Neil Diamond The night was clear and the moon was yellow And the leaves came tumbling down I was standing on the corner When I heard my bulldog bark He was barking up at the two men Who were gambling in the dark It was Stagger Lee and Billy Two men who gambled late Stagger Lee threw a seven Billy swore, he threw an eight Stagger Lee told "Billy, I can't let you get away with that Well, you've won all my money And my brand new stetson hat" Stagger Lee ran home Went and got him his 44 Said, "I'm going to the bar room Just to pay that debt that I owe" Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee Said, "I' m going to the bar room Just to pay that debt that I owe" Stagger Lee went to the bar room Boy, he stood across the bar room doors Said, "now, nobody move" And he pulled out his 44 "Stagger Lee", cried Billy "Oh, please don't you take my life I got me three little children And a very sickly wife" Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee "got me three little children And a very, very sickly wife" Stagger Lee shot Billy Boy, he shot that poor boy so bad That the bullet came through Billy And went right through the bartender's glass While I was standing on the corner When I heard my bulldog bark He was barking up at the two men Who were gambling in the dark Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee Go Stagger Lee, Go Stagger Lee Well, he was barking up at the two men Who were gambling in the dark
