Father Kit Cool Gun Garth Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Has anyone seen this movie? If so, your thoughts.
Marshal Dan Troop 70448 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 I bought the DVD at Big Lots, watched it and wish I hadn't wasted my time. If you seen "The Hills Have Eyes" a gory film, this one seems to follow its storyline but in the 1800s. I priced it for 50 cents at our Garage Sale, no sale.
Dusty Wyatt Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Good but different. I think that I actually said "Oh shot!" out loud a couple of times during this movie. Would have put an i instead of an o in that word but I was afraid that I would get in trouble.
TN Mongo, SASS #61450 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Horror movie meets a Western. I liked it, but I don't think I would ever want to see it again.

This A friend gave me the dvd after he watched it. I watched it once. Just gathers dust now as no one else wants it.
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 It does have some atypical period guns for a western movie if you notice those things.
Rye Miles #13621 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it but probably would never see it again!
Utah Bob #35998 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Horror movie with cowboy hats. I wouldn’t agree that it is….. ”The best western since Unforgiven” ”Brilliantly acted” ”Truly Superb” ”An unmissable treat”
Choctaw Jack Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Didn't care for it ,which is unusual. I'm a big Kurt Russel fan, but not in this one.
Dusty Devil Dale Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Watched it once on DVD. Threw it in the trash afterward. Waste of good movie time,IMO.
watab kid Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 ive not seen it , sounds interesting , ill look into it
Whiskey Hicks Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 It harkens back to a lot of old folklore of uncivilized “troglodytes” on the frontier, be they indigenous or some scary Bigfeets. On the movie itself, mileage may vary, but as someone into old folklore it was at least a neat idea to see someone explore at least once. And if you want to know something of what I mean, read about the Bauman incident in the chapter In the Cowboyland of Teddy Roosevelt’s The Wilderness Hunter.
Texas Joker Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 Like the Humboldt folk? And I LIKED cowboys vs aliens brought back memories of my pen and paper roll playing days.
Singin' Sue 71615 Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 I needed to plug my ears as well as close my eyes! (If you watched it...you know) It should have been listed as Horror Western. The acting for the most part was very good. For being a $30k film (I think) and being filmed in around 32 days... It was not near as bad as Hell To Pay Not as bad as Buster Scruggs!!!
Tall Tale Todd Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 I enjoyed it and it is scary and it is super gross and I don't know if I'd watch it a 3rd time.
Springfield Slim SASS #24733 Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 I wish I had never watched it, for many reasons.
