For those songs that you wish had never been made.

That Taylor Swift song - I'd never heard of it. I listened to somewhere between a quarter and a third. It would have probably done good as Disco. "Got a good beat man, easy to dance to". As a song that you want to listen to - meh.

I liked Macarena, but that "remix" butchered it something awful.

Black Betty - I'd never really listened to it. It was just kind of background noise on the radio. Listening to it just now - I managed to last maybe a third of the way.

So I agree. The world would have been better off without all three of them.

Tiptoe Through the Tulips by Tiny Tim.

Freaking stupid and horrible. Not really music in anyway.

It's a Small World After All.

The Night Chicago Died.

Billy Don't Be a Hero.

We Are the Champions.

Stairway to Heaven.

Meet Me in the Middle by Maren Morris.

For a while there, it was EVERYWHERE.  Don't know why, it ain't that good of a song.

You Don't Have to Call Me Darlin' by David Allen Coe.

The drunks would play it on repeat on the jukebox at a 24 hour greasy spoon in Auburn every Friday night.  I passed my life quota of it about halfway through the first night.

Most disco, most show tunes, Faith Hill’s version of “Take Another Piece Of My Heart” , everything David Allen Coe ever did, every rap song I’ve ever heard, Hank Williams Jr’s entire catalog, and the Mavericks’ version of “Call Me The Breeze”!!

I change the station when I hear anything by Elton John, Nazareth, Tim McGraw, Ram Jam, Martina McBride, most anything by Fleetwood Mac that features Stevie Nicks or Lindsey Buckingham,  and Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Reba McIntire, or Billy Ray Cyrus!

I can’t handle Devo, The Cars, Talking Heads, or The Ramones.

I have a large library of recorded music and I have XM/Syrius in the car.  I don’t have to listen to anything that I don’t like!  It’s EASY!! I just push a button!! B)

The Cars and The Talking Heads, I'm OK with.

Most 80's hair bands?  Hard NO.

I can even take Primus in small doses.

Some of the songs listed above are songs I like. Not because of the song so much, but because of the memories that they elicit.

I personally dislike nearly all Country & Western music. Especially because of the memories the older music drags up. New Country sucks, period. Especially that dipsh…stick country rap or the songs where it starts off like a phone call.
My Hell will be All Country, All the Time. So I better be good. ;)

Pop and Rock songs I hate…

The Beatles - all of it. One can only listen to hit songs over and over and over for only so long before hate sets in. Besides, John Lennon was a POS. Hated all his crap after the Beatles too.

All Pop music. All of it. Not even going to parse it out.

Rap - goes without saying.

Well, that about does it. I have alienated the entire Saloon, I’m sure.

Beatles are overrated as far as I am concerned.

Can’t agree here.  They were the most significant band of the second half of the 20th century.  The changes in music that they created crossed every musical boundary.

You may not like them or their music and that’s not anybody’s business but yours!  That’s a matter of taste!

But with the amount of influence they had on nearly EVERY kind of music, all over the world, I don’t think that anyone can justify saying that the Beatles are “overrated”!

I love old Country songs- when they are covered by artists from other genres.

I even have been known to sing along while driving down the road to covers of Making Believe and Alone and Forsaken- by West Coast Punk band Social Distortion.
