Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
70 here, on Canada Day. Smokey, some heavy rain with thunder and some wind. I can taste the smoke in my mouth and it's affecting my breathing a little. I'm running the furnace A/C and circulation fan which has filters. I also have Air Purifiers in the house, one downstairs, one in the upstairs hallway, one in my bedroom and one in Big Red's I think I'll buy another larger one for the first floor to help the family room/kitchen. Staying inside mostly because I start to cough outside.

Subdeacon Joe
Yesterday topped at about 102F here - forecast was for ~92F. Today we hit about 96F. Supposed to cool down the rest of the week: Very pleasant, even when you add in the 3 to 5 degree F that the forecasts are usually off by.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
I went out to our monthly match at Cowtown this morning. Only had one big posse (27). I decided to call it quits after four stages. Bumped 114 today and supposed to be 115+ tomorrow. I use to shoot no matter the temp. Now as the temps start rising I start pouring sweat like one of those old comedies and figure it is time to head for the barn, take a shower, and lay on the couch for a while. Subdeacon Joe
29 minutes ago, Pat Riot said: Looks normal to me. Do you feel like you have a fever? Nope. It was just the sudden jump, one day barely making 70 then jumping to ~100. And that, for the first day of July is a bit unusual for Sonoma County. We get lots of that natural air conditioning off of the Pacific.

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Yep we are getting old. Club shoot for this Saturday (supposed to be 117+) has been cancelled. Five years ago it did not matter how hot it was we shot. Now between Cowtown and ACSA both cancelling shoots I guess I will have to go to the Western Regional. Only high 60's or low 70's at Moro Bay. bgavin
SDJ: no worries... Sacramento is stepping up to suck the heat out of the Bay Area once again. Sunday will be 110 and the Hinges of Hell™ will arrive here once again. Those wonderful Delta breezes come about when Sacramento sucks.
