  1. When I was in the army, the black guys in my unit all called me Jimmy T. I kinda liked it. (that was 1964 to 1967)
  2. Many years ago ( ws fishing out of Newport beach, CA in a rental 12' dingy. They rented them across from the Balboa Pavilion. I had gone out into the ocean (we weren't supposed to) and something took my bait and towed me all the way back in to the harbor before it broke me off. I never saw it and probably a good thing I didn't. Either a bog Ray or a shark.
  3. Get a second one, then you can cut one and keep the original barrel length on the other. I have a 2 12ga and 2 16ga with one barrel left original and the other cut to 18.5". Long barrel when flyers are a part of a stage.
  4. I sold all my new model Vaqueros last year, so all I have now are a pair of OM Sheriffs in 357. Had them engraved.
  5. Google Bill's cases. He is on the Colt forum. I have one for an antique Colt and it's awesome.
  6. My mother was born in 1916 in eastern Oklahoma. She never was in a building that had electricity until she went to college. She was one of 10 and her house was the size of our current livingroom. A hardscrabble life to be sure. She lived to 96. Tougher people than I'll ever be.
  7. We showed them! No more taxation without representation. Er... what?
  8. A Christmas story. I met Melinda Dillon years ago at a church function. She's a great lady and very nice.
  9. I held one at the Shot Show last January and they are pretty. Can't wait until they show up.
  10. My Mom and Dad were from Oklahoma (dust bowl era) so we ate a lot of liver and onions, beans and hamhocks with mustard greens we picked in the empty lot across the street, fried squash, fried okra (yuk), turnips boiled and fried. Bread with sugar on it covered with Pet Milk for dessert. Meat and fish were always cooked thoroughly.
  11. How I know it's snowing without looking out the window.
  12. My good friend Joe Tibery has passed away. His SASS alias was Joe Pistolero, and he shot with the Cajon Cowboys and later, after moving to Washington, with the Poulsbo Pistoleros and the Olympic Peninsula Strait Shooters. He was 89 and is survived by his wife, Aliette. Please remember him in your prayers. Joe is on the left and his friend Dandy Don on the right.
