Recovery has taken over a year but getting there it seems
Doc Neeley replied to Trigger Mike's topic in SASS Wire Saloon
Still, it's amazing how far medicine has come. I've been undergoing treatment for 3 years for stage 4 lung cancer. My port is in my right side of my chest so no long guns. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get it out and resume SASS. I never thought I'd make it this far. ) -
They always take shortcuts to increase margins. I spent a year working on a egg ranch after school. All the culls that had tumors or the feathers jad fallen out were sold to....drumroll......Swanson's. I wont eat a TV dinner to this day.

Double check on the 1881 Marlin. Originally Marlin didn't want Winchester's name on their rifles so they came up with the 38-56 on early rifles. Completely different cartridge than the 38-55. Later when the 38-55 got much better traction than their 38-56, they began chambering their rifles in the 38-55.

Hotel and motel maids are frequently Hispanic. One of the things they do is to collect the used and left bars of soap and send them home. One of the most important ways to prevent disease in the third world countries they come from.. -
When I was in the army, the black guys in my unit all called me Jimmy T. I kinda liked it. (that was 1964 to 1967)

Many years ago ( ws fishing out of Newport beach, CA in a rental 12' dingy. They rented them across from the Balboa Pavilion. I had gone out into the ocean (we weren't supposed to) and something took my bait and towed me all the way back in to the harbor before it broke me off. I never saw it and probably a good thing I didn't. Either a bog Ray or a shark. -
Get a second one, then you can cut one and keep the original barrel length on the other. I have a 2 12ga and 2 16ga with one barrel left original and the other cut to 18.5". Long barrel when flyers are a part of a stage.

I sold all my new model Vaqueros last year, so all I have now are a pair of OM Sheriffs in 357. Had them engraved. -

Google Bill's cases. He is on the Colt forum. I have one for an antique Colt and it's awesome. -

My good friend Joe Tibery has passed away. His SASS alias was Joe Pistolero, and he shot with the Cajon Cowboys and later, after moving to Washington, with the Poulsbo Pistoleros and the Olympic Peninsula Strait Shooters. He was 89 and is survived by his wife, Aliette. Please remember him in your prayers. Joe is on the left and his friend Dandy Don on the right.
