Fallon Kid
I know they don’t have a clue. I remember last year some nut job shot up a place and when they checked his house, they claimed it a literal armory. He had 7 guns in his house. Can you imagine someone having that many guns? Alpo
I'm curious how they would know there are 4 million guns in this country, and I'm even more curious how you would know that there are 4 million and 77? Guns have been in this country for over 500 years. Nobody has any idea how many guns are in this country.
Fallon Kid
Just a bit a humor on my part Alpo. I can say I have more than one gun. Counting the requirements for Cowboy. Wild bunch. side matches. Long Range. Special optional matches. It does add up
Blackwater 53393
They should do a little more actual research! Conservative estimates say 400,000,000 guns! That’s FOUR HUNDRED MILLION guns. NOT four million! Having spoken to friends from both of the countries cited, I can assure them that they have no idea of actual crime statistics for those places. There is as much or more violent crime in those and other countries that have no Second Amendment! It just isn’t cataloged or reported the same way!! AND the crminals there still have guns because THE CRIMINALS DON’T OBEY THE LAWS THERE EITHER!!!
Chili Ron
Howdy, I was told by someone much older and wiser.....The gun grabbers just make up stuff out of thin air. I was concerned about stories being used against gun owners. They gun grabbers have their mind made up and dont want to be confused with any facts. Still hand Bill
What no one realizes is there are many more guns in Australia today than before the “buy back”. They are just owned by fewer people and each person owns more. The only confiscated 400,000 ish out of something like 3.5 million if I remember correctly. It’s easy enough to look up if you want exact numbers.

Waxahachie Kid #17017 L
They were discussing tonight, on Fox, how likely it would be that, considering the number of gun owners in the United States, how possible would it actually be to take our firearms away from us. They were wondering how many people it would take, and also, what particular group would make the attempt. Some said a combination of military, and law enforcement. One guest stated an attempt could spark another civil war. I must admit, I am not sure how they would accomplish this. I doubt if a decree went forth for a voluntary firearm turn in, would work very well, or be much of a success...among the sane, anyway. I am sure they are considering a lot of possibilities. The Hank Williams Jr's song, A Country Boy Can Survive, comes to mind...and the part of that song that says: "we're them old boys raised on shotguns", comes to mind, as well. What also comes to mind is the 1831 Gonzales, Texas flag, that stated: Come And Take It It should be interesting.
Marshal Dan Troop 70448
Question is, how many drug gangs and criminals would turn their firearms in and who would follow up in disarming them? Then there would be no further need for Politicians to have personal protection if all the law abiding citizens did turn them over. Right?

Subdeacon Joe
I just sent this off to the local paper. I doubt it will be printed. Dear Editor, Once again an insane person plans murder and specifically targets a gun free zone with no security. Instantly the press, including this publication, blamed the NRA, the 100,000,000 gun owners who have not murdered anyone, the GOP, everyone they could think of except the criminal who both lied on the 4473 (which would include the background check) and was protected by patient privacy laws. Then, not quite as fast, opinion pieces started coming out in the press, talk shows, and advocacy groups, that cast the murderer as the victim and those murdered as the real criminal. The gun is not to blame. The type of gun is not to blame. Access to guns is not to blame. The NRA is not to blame. The GOP is not to blame. 100,000,000 gun owners are not to blame. Blame rests on the murderer and nowhere else. Cordially,

Still hand Bill
I am about half way through an interesting read. The book is “on killing”. It is about the psychology of what it takes for soldiers and police to kill in the line of duty. Turns out historically only 20-30% of soldiers do any killing. Most won’t. I have not finished it, but it alludes to how this has changed do to training, making police and military more effective, but also changing how people can do spree shootings. I see where your point, but I can't bring myself to agree about criminal liability. That's like saying that if you don't have a heavy duty security screen door with deadbolts, and multiple deadbolts on all exterior doors, and bars on your windows you're criminally negligent if someone breaks into your house. I tend to agree with him, we give unlimited funds to the Middle East and now Ukraine, waste millions daily on all kinds of asinine programs, but yet neglect to protect our children. We protect our political class and government buildings with armed security and by making them hard targets. Private institutions protect our money doing the same thing. Yet our government weakens the security in a school and encourages attackers by making it a “gun free zone” then refuses to put In security using the lame excuse that they don’t want to turn our schools into prisons. Yet the government officials don’t have a problem with doing that where they work and live. And I’m guessing since they choose to live there. “And they are unfortunately the ruling class”, they don’t fell like it’s a prison. They continually ignore warning signs from mentally ill people, release dangerous people from prison and then turn around and tell the law abiding citizens that we will only be safe if we are disarmed and not allowed to defend ourselves or the ones we love. None of their laws or policies will do anything to deter the criminals. The people implementing gun free zones and gun laws are at worst just evil and at best ignorant. But either way they are a danger to the law abiding citizens and children of this country.
