End of Update ——————— Luke just turned two and today he’s getting cochlear implants. It’s a new type that should help him better in the long run, but it’s a six hour procedure to get them installed. My daughter likes the doctor and is hopeful for a good outcome. She’ll keep me posted as the day progresses. Any prayers, meditations, or kind thoughts as your faith allows would be much appreciated. We thank you for blessing the attending physicians and the means employed for his cure, and for restoring him safe and sound to his family and Church, having fended off every danger against his (her) body and soul. Raise him speedily, we pray you, from the bed of illness on which he lies and return him to his home and peaceful pursuits. Grant that the suffering of his body may avail for the purifying of his soul and may lead him to return, in thanksgiving, to the works of his hands and to Christ Jesus, the Physician of soul and body.
