Sweet!  Is there a stormtrooper category is SASS?  I may actually shoot good (bad) enough to shoot in that category too!

I wouldn't be surprised after all we have the Jedi's don't we? We can turn this into StarWars instead of cowboy shooting!

I admire this fellow’s disregard of other’s opinions.

Ya'll do see the irony of a bunch of CAS shooters making comments on somebody dressing up in a costume, right?

Pot/Kettle.

Hahahaha…you read my mind…and pretty much posted exactly what I was going to say!

I will freely admit, that in my youth I attended Star Trek conventions not only in uniform but occasionally in full prosthetic makeup.  Taint nothing wrong with dressing up in a costume to have a good time with like minded folks.   Kinda like dressing up cowboy…

Considering the size of the crowds, there's got to be a few normal folks there.

Not really! They're all nuts if you ask me!:P

Lol, it never even crossed my mind when I posted the link.  Being a stormtrooper reenactor is cheaper than SASS

And for those of you wanting to wear the white helmet:    https://501st.com/     They do charity work as well as appearances.

Naw....  It's here in California.  They can have a bunch of these events without having to tap into the "normal folks" reserves.  ;)

California has a "normal folks reserve"?

Imagine that!

When did they start that?

It’s not really a “reserve” so much as it is a secret stash. ;)

Then again…we live here so maybe we really aren’t “normal” after all…

What do you think @Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967?

Believe it or not, there actually is a segment of the population that would be considered "normal" - albeit a small segment.

Hopefully, someday a few folk from that group might even be able to break into politics!  Not that they would be effective; they'd still be horribly outnumbered - but they could provide a glimmer of hope....

And, unfortunately for ca (NCca), that segment is getting smaller! I was one but escaped!

But wouldn't you have to use a real blaster, or maybe a phaser?  I do understand DOD is working on directed energy weapons, but they take the size of a large aircraft...for the present.

Live long and prosper!

Pot/Kettle.

I get what your saying but at least we’re competing in an shooting event and not just strutting around in goofy costumes. You could also argue that we’re preserving history to a point and not just all fictional characters that never existed!

Whatever floats your boat. I don’t care.
