Dapper Dynamite Dick
There were 150 plus TV westerns during this time period; my favorite were; 1) Cheyenne 2) Lawman 3) The High Chaparrel what were your 3 favorites?
Grizzly Dave
I never saw any of them when they first ran, only in reruns, so my opinion is skewed because of that. Gunsmoke Bonanza High Chapperal I enjoyed Big Valley, but mainly for Linda Evans. Another I found on youtube that I enjoyed was Laredo.
Marshal Dan Troop 70448
To numerous to mention favorites, since every night of the week had a western on. Would have to break it down to one each night, and that would be tough. In Mid-West area, westerns started at 6PM, and you could find one till 10PM, every night. Glad the family enjoyed them. Wish we had a video recorder back then to watch those that were on the same time slot. MT

Rancocas
My favorite by far was Maverick on Sunday night My three favorites were Maverick, cheyenne and have gun will travel. My interest in westerns started at the saturday afternoon matinees with the b-westerns. I also like to watch those action packed episodes of Hopalong Cassidy, Cisco Kid and the Lone Ranger. Professor Tull, SASS #66742
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biihAP5T4rw One of the more interesting gun fights on Have Gun, Will Travel - the 'baddie' being played by Hank Patterson. Have Gun Will Travel / Hec Ramsey - because he could have been an older version of Paladin, as was speculated at the time, but never confirmed or denied by CBS The Rifleman Death Valley Days

DocWard
I'm a bit younger than some also. The shows I recall watching include: The High Chaparral The Wild, Wild West Hec Ramsey I also recall watching The Big Valley, Bonanza and Gunsmoke on occasion. Given the timing of the shows, I would've been watching some of them in re-runs.

Monument Valley Mike #54837
GUNSMOKE was #1! The fact my dad was in 6 episodes only made it cooler. HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL Never really understood (as a kid) a lot of what paladin was saying, but liked his sense of fair play. As an adult, I think many of the episodes are examples of wonderful writing. HIGH CHAPARRAL Not as syrupy as Bonanza, and the Apaches could kick some rear! HONORABLE MENTIONS: Wild, Wild West Lawman Lone Ranger
