  2. Widder, not at work, but at a church supper. We had a new pastor so I made chili for the pot luck supper. The pastors wife told me how much she like it. I looked at her with a deadpan face and said " I didn't know you liked squirrel. The look on her face was priceless.
  3. If I drove out there for the match you might never get rid of me. WY is high on retirement state list.
  4. I hope to be there but I won't be able to work. I am sure my wife will be pulling my arm to leave after about 10 minutes.
  5. Please don't lump all of New England together. Northern NE has not lost its senses. Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont are firearm friendly as opposed to southern NE.
  6. For cowboy 38 spec. For carry 45acp just because 45-70 (BFR REVOLVER) don't have 1- have shot 1 - want 1 - can't afford 1
  7. EXPERT EX is a "has been" SPURT is a "drip under pressure" We set up at our gun shows to show off our stuff and promote cowboy shooting. One year (during BO's 1st term) we were warned that there might be some FED's coming through. I was manning our table when 2 guys in matching suits and trenchcoats came up. One said " I'm not from this state, can I buy one of these guns" I told him that we were displaying only- nothing for sale. I laughed as they walked away.
  8. I was driving through Wells Maine yesterday. Saw a antique store on Rt 1. Sign said "PERIOD ANTIQUES". Turned to my wife and asked her, What period? Revolutionary-Civil war or just Yesterday?
  9. I found 7/8 oz of shot takes over the k/d's, and shot is a big part of shotshell reloading. I use green dot.
  10. Loophole; Come north a few miles and you can drop 2 more degrees. -4 when I pulled into work in NH.
  11. I have some left over 2400 powder and would like to use it up instead of just pouring it out and burning it. I tried looking on the alliant site but did not find any info. If anyone has some usable loads for 405 gr cast bullets or 400 gr jacketed bullets, I would be grateful for a pm with them. I am loading for a Marlin 1895, so they do not have to be super mild. I normally load 3031 in my 45-70's, but I have this powder and I guess I am to cheap to not use it. Thanks in advance. Jimmy Reb
  12. Heard about it. Called Bum Steer at Capitol City in Augusta and asked if I could come and watch. He told me NO. But I could come and shoot. When I got there all sorts of people were handing me equipment to use.
