Said It was reported that I violated community standards? When I follow the click here to appeal thing it just takes me to the Meta page on personal information. Not mine just their 25 foot long company policy. Message says my instagram account doesnt conform to their policy, then they give me a bogus instagram account that is not mine. No recourse to do anything else. It wouldn’t bother me but now I cannot access or manage the VFW Pot FB page whic is under my account.😡

There is some convoluted way to appeal which I have never been able to figure out.

You may want to do a big whoa-down. Was this from an email or on the FB and IG sites? The notification may have been scam-spam, and following the link and logging in may have given scammers your login credentials.

 

Go try to log in to FB and IG and change your password on both. You should be able to log in even if on a "timeout."

 

Never trust an email! Never trust a link in an email. You may have given your account away.

I’ve appealed a couple times and won but that was before they added the META thing. So far I’ve been okay but they did remove a comment I made today. No clue why, a friend told me.

Yeah that was fairly simple but the Meta thing is a whole different animal. I have 180 days to appeal. This is the only info I can find out. That’s Not my instagram account anyway, which I use about once a year. So seeing as how it’s not my account, I can’t log into it to appeal. Catch 22.

Wow!! That sucks! I wonder if you can open a whole new account? For instance maybe use a new email and user name? Just guessing here!

The national VFW wants all posts to have a Facebook page unfortunately. Facebook is very convenient for me to contact and keep up with friends and family. It can be abused of course, but overall I have few problems with it because I know what to ignore.

It was for me also... convenient that is.  I left faceplant 4 years ago.  As far as my family goes, it's as if I dropped off the face of the planet.  When I ever do see family I'm called "anti social".  I find it amusing how, when someone wants something from me, text and/or email suddenly work.

 

I enjoyed the interest groups... until they turned into rant fests.  Yep, even the ones that were "moderated".

 

Sorry Bob.  I know this doesn't help your situation.

Well...that was interesting.

I was responding to a comment on the FB page of our local newsrag.  It was taking a long time to post, and then a notice popped up that my account was locked, there had maybe been unauthorized activity on it.  But got walked through steps to unlock it.

I left Facebook when they censored President Trump.
Closed both my personal and business accounts.

My last Facebook jail was 30 days for this image.
I figured it was time to leave on my own terms instead of theirs.

Had that happen to me few months back, for re-posting a post from another user.  Created a new account, and only really use it for sharing pix with close family and friends.  Lost control of one of my groups as well.  Will recreate a new version of it after the old one goes away.

I think Facebook is great for keeping in touch with family and friends, SASS, Colt, S&W and many gun groups are on there as well. Local SASS clubs are on Facebook too. It's all what you make of it. I've been put in jail a few times and I've also requested a review and the reason I got suspended was found wrong and they actually apologized! Lots of news stories on there also.

I am under suspension review for posting this. All the truth but they don't like the truth.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering.

Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money.

How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money?

What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.

Think about it.....Last but not least:

Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping payments to illegal aliens such as monthly payments for each child, money for housing, food stamps, free education including college and also the right

to vote?

Am I the only one missing something?
