Chloroform

While chloroform is often featured in mystery novels to make unsuspecting victims lose consciousness, this common chemical was used for many years in cough medications and as an anesthetic. Old cough syrups such as Kimball White Pine and Tar Cough Syrup contained chloroform as a treatment for cough.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) outlawed the use of chloroform in medications in 1976, when research revealed chloroform increased cancer risks and could cause fatal respiratory and cardiac arrest.

I'm no fan either. Hate meds in general but the benefit outweighs the sickly-sweet taste. And I did treat it as a med.

I'm a fan of equal parts Spiced Rum, Honey, And Luke Warm Water. Sip slowly and allow it to linger on the back of your throat.

Re: Southern Comfort.   At my high school graduation the guy right in front of me had gotten very drunk on it before showing up.  As usual in things like that,  we were chivvied into line and had to stand around for another 15 or 20 minutes.

Well, after about 5 minutes of waiting that bozo started puking.  Great...the stench of stomach acid mixed with Southern Comfort.  Since then I've not been able to abide anything about Southern Comfort  .

Southern Comfort vomit ate the paint on the passenger side of my buddy's truck. I had a bad time with it. Bad. Real bad.

Are we talking about O'Donnell? With a name like O'Donnell she must be Irish, so she should stay there. They should welcome her with open arms.

Reporter question to Ireland's Prime minister at the White House today:

"Ireland is known for very happy, fun-loving people... Why in the world would you let Rosie O'Donnell move to Ireland?"

On edit: She actually left 5 days before Trump took office and it was a non-news event then. The only reason it came back was I assume the humor value for this reporter's question.

how do you spell "wet paint" in Braile ?  🤔

I used to know a painter when I was working construction that wouldn't put "Wet Paint" signs on anything he painted, He said people ALWAYS touched the painted area. He would caution tape the area off and said that people never crossed the tape line.

Don't know. Didn't look it up.

But FIREARMS has got eight letters in it and the first word in the Braille phrase only has seven. FIREARMS has two Rs, yet there is no letter duplicated in the first Braille word. There is an A in both FIREARMS and RANGE, but the letter shown in the Braille is not the same in both words.

I don't know what it says, but I do know it is not say FIREARMS RANGE.
