Rye Miles #13621 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Alright whose gonna go out and get smashed on NYEVE??? I'm not, I'll be home alone! If I make it to 12:00 I may have a shot of rye! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!! RYE
Shawnee McGrutt Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I work until 8 PM, will go home, eat some dinner and have a drink, then go to bed. Just another day. But, YOU ALL HAVE A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!
Grizzly Dave Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Oh I am a total party animal, I'll pick up a pizza on the way home from the office and eat it and start drinking then and keep drinking until I pass out about 10 PM. I imagine I'll go thru several glasses of water and probably a Dr. Pepper, maybe even two since it's a special occasion. Sure hope I don't wake up with a hangover!
Dantankerous Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I'm staying in front of my fireplace. Drinks? Probably. Peace and quiet? Definately.
Dusty Wyatt Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I will probably have a couple of drinks but I will not be leaving the house. Most likely check The Saloon and a couple of other forums. Doubt I will make midnight.
Noz Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 2 granddaughters and a great grandson will keep me too occupied to get in too much trouble.
Stubborn Dutchman, SASS # 61363 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 My better half and I are going out for dinner, then home for the evening. Some time in the hot tub, then drinks in front of the TV and watch all the idiots freeze their butts off in Time Square.
Subdeacon Joe Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 We have a wild night planned. I start tonight on the prep:Stop on the way home and get some ground beef, a few cans of nacho cheese sauce, a bag of tortilla chips, some green onions.Tomorrow I'll cook the meat and season it well, heat up some refrieds and the cheese sauce, chop up the green onions and some white onions. We'll feast on home made nachos. I think we have a 2 litre bottle of ginger ale in the pantry. And a bottle of spiced rum, and some cheap vodka. Some sort of frozen fruit juice in the freezer. We even have television now! Yep....wild party animals! Heck-fhar! We might even stay awake until midnight!.(dang - I wish I had a thunder mug and some slow fuse. I could use some of my Fg Goex and fire a salute at midnight)
Utah Bob #35998 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Celebratory evenings are in my past.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Well, I have seen a lot of New Years come and go. Probably have a drink or two and then off to bed around 2200 hours. Maybe the drink will allow me to sleep through my crazy neighbors that think they MUST SHOOT off fireworks at midnight. Given that, I am willing to bet that there will be another one in about 367 days. Whooo Hoooo
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Amateur night. Hardpan's gonna stay home, indoors, and hope no boolits hit my house - LOTS of folks in the neighborhood from somewhere down south, where evidently shooting into the air is an accepted practice to celebrate año nuevo... :|
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 My friends asked me to light off their fireworks tonight before I go home. Let's see if I can keep from burning Russia to the ground, or not.
Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Big problem is to find ice to fit into the glass of whisky.
G. I. Tarpicker, SASS #998 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Well, I'm not playing anywhere New Year's Eve, so I'll probably have a toddy or two at home and hit the sack about nine o'clock. It will still be 1 January when The Dog wakes me up at 6:00 AM. Happy New Year, everybody! -- GIT
rippin kid Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Have a nice meal with the wife. Bed, Then shoot the New Years Day Match with the Virginia City Marshalls at the NRA Headquarters
Bama Red Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I may or may not be celebrating at home tomorrow night. Either way, it'll be ice water as the beverage of choice. If I'm still here in the hospital, that'll be the extent of it. If I'm home, we will have some finger foods to go with the ice water.
Yul Lose Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Mrs. Lose and I usually turn in about 8:30 and I'll read or watch a video on my iPad and by 9:30 I'm done. I tried to party like I used to do 25 or 30 years ago about 5 years ago and it damn near killed me so I'm done with that. Happy New Year everyone.
Dorado Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I'm planning on going out and trying out a new bar here. I'm young and still got a good liver. I don't drink much either if I'm driving. But regardless I'm having a finger or two of bourbon before midnight. Just might be tonight as well.
Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I require my tv to have a shutoff program. I set it for 10:30pm. I don't think I have seen it go off in years. Makes enough light to get down the long hall and in to bed without turning on more lights. Everyone stay safe and warm.
Calamity Kris Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Uno and I have been invited to a gathering in the old neighborhood. We will probably skip it. We don't want to be on the roads with the drinkers and are both getting over nasty colds so staying home just sounds better. Everyone stay safe out there.
Clueless Bob Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Smokin' Limey and I celebrate the new year at 1800/6:00PM(cst), which is the time Big Ben in London rings in the New Year. Yeah, Limey is English, hence the time we celebrate, but it helps too since its been a very long time that we have been able to stay up to midnight here in the states. This year, our plans include 2 pistols, 1 rifle and 1 shotgun loaded with black powder, while Limey records it. Then she, with a lager shandy, and I with a scotch, will relax the remainder of the night.
Krazy Kajun Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Big problem is to find ice to fit into the glass of whisky. BMC, just got outside and scoop up a bit of snow in that glass....just make sure the snow ain't yellow Kajun
Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 God has truly blessed my 2015. We'd settled in here in Arizona and had a great year in retirement. For New Year's Eve I'll watch the two college playoff football games with my wife of over 41 years sitting beside me. Then when we get sleepy, we'll go to bed and snuggle some. God is good; so good.
Tennessee Trapper Tom Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 To all you cowpokes that I know, and all of you I still want to meet! Have a Safe and Happy New Year and may you wake in the morning with the knowledge that you and your family survived another New Years eve without incident God Bless
Bama Red Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 A very Happy New Year to all Cowboys and Cowgirls, everywhere.
