NEED HELP: significant date

There is something significant about Dec 5, 6, and 7th.

Seems like Dec 5th is the day BEFORE and Dec 7th is the day AFTER......... but I can't figure out WHY DEC 6th seems relevant.

Does anybody know why DEC 6th is relevant.   Maybe because nothing important ever happens on DEC 6th.   Maybe.

I just can't remember.

Maybe Blackwater might know.     Hey Blackwater, do you know anyhiing about DEC 6th?

Yes, December 6th is considered a significant day because it is "Saint Nicholas Day", celebrating the feast day of Saint Nicholas, a 4th-century bishop known for his generosity and acts of kindness, which is seen as the origin story behind the modern-day Santa Claus; many cultures observe this day with traditions like leaving shoes out for small gifts.

Is it the day TW owes you a nanner split?

Somehow, that rings a bell.   Except, if TW has anything to do with it, wouldn't that make it insignificant?  :)

Maybe its "Nat'l Nanner Split' day.......... "NNS day".

Whenever I have left shoes outside - twice in my life - an animal carried one off. The first time it was a neighbor dog. The second? Who knows.

St. Nicholas Day: A feast day that celebrates the life of St. Nicholas, a 4th century bishop of Myra. St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children, sailors, Russia, Greece, and many other groups.

The 13th Amendment: Ratified in 1865, this amendment to the US Constitution officially ended slavery.

The first sound recording: In 1877, Thomas Edison demonstrated the first sound recording by reciting Mary Had a Little Lamb.

The republic of Finland: Proclaimed in 1917.

The Royal Air Force bombing raid on Eindhoven: In 1942, 93 Royal Air Force aircraft bombed Eindhoven, targeting the Philips Radio Works.

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women: This day is observed on December 6th.

Britain signing a peace treaty with Ireland in 1921

The first US attempt to put a satellite into orbit in 1957

The stabbing death of Meredith Hunter by a Hells Angel in 1969

The swearing in of Gerald Ford as the first un-elected vice-president of the US in 1973

The death of Roy Orbison in 1988

Some of these, the 13th Amendment, Gerald Ford’s installment as president, the death of Roy Orbison, and the stabbing death at Altamont are things I remember.  The 13th Amendment, I remember from history class. The others happened during my lifetime and the two deaths I mentioned are part of music history that are important to me.

Its slowly coming into memory and has something to do with

3 queens riding into Murfreesboro on broma bulls, selling a concoction of ice cream,

bananas, nuts and flavored syrups.

and one of their 1st visitors was rumored of giving birth to a little baby boy right there on the

Queens table.

The newspapers were forbidden to release the name of the baby but its rumored that on every

Dec 6th, this banana treat is enjoyed by many all over the country.     The the question still remains:

WHO WAS THIS BABY?

It's JJ Cale's birthday today but I'm not sure about queens, bulls and ice cream had anything to do with it.

I have one degree of separation from J.J. Cale. One of my schoolmates was his bass player for many years and up until his passing. We, (Nick Rather and I) also performed together from time to time.

I also did backup vocals, (uncredited) on a song on his REALLY album.

One great songwriter and performer.

As to TW!  It might be his birthday, but he wasn’t born! He was hatched!!

You’re kidding me,  you don’t know what is significant about Dec 6

Well, we do know that its St. Nicholas Day, the father of the origins of Christmas.

Of course, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee...... its also known as Jesse Williams B'day. (TN Williams).

To bad none of the 'Saintness of Nicholas' rubbed off on TW...... :)

Although he still thinks he looks like Elvis.

It keeps 5 and 7 from banging into each other....and it's not a federal or state "shut-everything-down-and-take-a-day-off-with-pay" holiday.
