Nicely done, Sir!

Posted

Last night was pasta with a pork red sauce.  Had two small boneless pork loin chops that I minced by hand. One large onion, chopped, three or four cloves of garlic, minced, one small yellow bell pepper cut into small dice, one large carrot grated on the small side of a box grater, two #303 cans of Delmonte "Traditional Style Tomato Sauce," salt, pepper, and some chicken bouillon powder.  Cooked half a pound of spaghetti.  Have lots of the sauce left over.

I wasn’t in the mood for a dinner last night!

It was a peanut butter sandwich with prickly pear jelly on twelve grain bread and a frosty glass of milk!!

Tonight:

Pork Loin in cranberry/wine sauce with clove powder.

It's in the crock pot now; 8 hour cooking time.

Rice for me, potatoes for Big Red and steamed carrots for both of us.

Celery is the one food that uses more calories to consume than gained from eating. I wonder if that means you could starve to death in a field of celery.

Bamboo shoots are another

Sometimes I’m in the mood for food but not for cooking. On those occasions PB&J is my go to!

Hey, Bubba, check out Boondock Enterprises.  They gots lotsa pepper-flavored jams and jellies.  Also most Kroger stores have them in the deli section.  I'm gonna try banana jabernero next.
