Watching this , what kind of pistol is she using? He said it was a .45. It’s double action, I can’t tell what it is.

Anyone??

If memory serves it was custom built. In the movie, anyway!

My thoughts too...Remember the pants too...Wear wet till dry...Good fit after...And they did...

Texas Lizard

That’s what John Wayne said to Ann Margaret in “The Train Robbers”. As I recall it was her buckskin shirt. Was that line Hannie Calder too?

Early on before she is gifted the Tranter, She is shooting a S&W New Model 3 that belonged to Price.

Price also carries an Adams Revolver

Same gun he carried as a Texas Ranger in TV series.  I can't recall the title.  Trackdown maybe?

Wasn't there drunk when she walked in wearing the leatherpants, after she shrunk fit them, who said something to the effect "there sure is a good build on that guy"?

Forty, that Smith & Wesson number 3 was Robert Culps' personal property, which might explain why he used it in more than one movie.

In The Train Robbers Ann Margret was wearing a cloth shirt, and Duke said if they boiled it it would shrink and fit skin tight so that everyone could see that she was a woman.

Hannie was told to sit in the water trough in her leather pants, and let them dry shrink fit. When entering the saloon and walking past the drunk who was half asleep at the table, the drunk commented, "nice ass on that fellow".

Yes.

Trackdown stars Robert Culp as Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman. It is set in the 1870s after the American Civil War. In early episodes, stories focused on Gilman going to different Texas towns in pursuit of wanted fugitives. At midseason, the series became set in the town of Porter, Texas. Episodes touched on multiple Western themes and topics, so it was known as "the thinking man's Western".

They are either 44's or 45's but definitely not 38's.

I remember back in high school. I was telling this one guy that old old joke, "She open the door and stuck a pair of 45s in my face. She had a gun too.", and his other guy walked up just at the end of it so apparently all he heard was "45 she had a gun".

And he starts telling us about how he preferred a 32.

With his timing, that was hilarious.

I dunno, I'd rather see a nice pair of high-riding 32's than a pair of belly button riding 38's.
