My son lives there, a few miles from downtown.

Good LORD!  It stormed so bad it turned everything sideways!

If I click on the picture on my phone it sets it up straight. That won't work on my computer!

I put this pic on Facebook and Instagram and it was right side up. It's only sideways on this forum! Why????

Our daughter lives and works in Franklin, TN. She had to re-route 2X today on her commute to get to work. But, she was prepared as she worked last night at the clinic for a few hours and drove home during the snowfall. And, she was raised in CT and learned to Winter drive there. Probably more skilled than 70% - 75% of the TN drivers.

Still snowing a little NW of Nashville at 10:20 this morning.

This is a yankee snow. It got cold first and then snowed.  Most of the time, it rains and freezes. THEN it snows on top of the ice!  That puts the “up north” drivers in ditches all over.

The second most popular snow event here is a fast wet snow on top of warm , (by comparison) ground. That snow freezes on top and melts from underneath!  That stuff puts EVERYBODY in the ditches!

There are lots of folks who don’t have any business driving at all, much less in bad weather. They’re the ones who buy FWD and 4WD vehicles and think they can drive anywhere, any time!

All of my buddies who drive wreckers and rollbacks tell me that they pull just as many yankees out of the ditches around here as they do locals!  The comment most heard is, “This $#!+ ain’t nothing like the snow we get at home!” <_<

I’ve driven all over this country, in all kinds of weather and I can tell you for certain that they are absolutely right!!

You're not the first to tell me this.
It took a while but I finally realized ... *nok nok* hello, Einstein ... these folks are speaking with the voice of experience!
