What was (is) your favorite cartoon artist/strip?

Mine would be:

I have always enjoyed the boyish antics of Calvin and his best friend Hobbes.

He is always getting in trouble; however, you fully understand where he is coming from.

My favorite set of strips from Mr. Watterson is when Calvin uses his imagination and creates these wonderful snow sculptures.

Below are a few that show the genius of Calvin through Mr. Watterson.

The Far Side, Garfield, and I used to like Doonesbury until Garry Trudeau engaged in a vendetta against Frank Sinatra.

Do web comics count? If so I'd add Girl Genius, Schlock Mercenary, and The Whiteboard.

Sparky:

     O.K. I took the bait.

For those of us who are not into the newer Millennial on-line comics, here's a glimpse of what Sparky reads: :o:P

My all time favorite is calvin and hobbes.  The best ones were when they played calvin ball.  Sometimes instead of working out I get on a racketball court and play my own version of calvin ball.  If I got no one to play with, it's even more authentic!

Favorite current comic is olgaf.  Don't go looking for that one kit, most of them are not fit to post here.

Slim:

Thank you so much for the reminders.

I thoroughly enjoy Non Sequitur in the Sunday paper, especially when it involves Danae:

Tumbleweeds is really fitting for the SASS Saloon.

      I understand.

I was cautious when I posted what Sparky reads in "Girl Genius", as she can get racy also. :o

     I remember reading Pogo; however,

it was not one that was published in the newspaper that we got back in the day.

That is what I like about these forums, are the old things that become new.

I could have lived the rest of my life without ever having heard or read any Rick O'Shay and Hipshot comic strips.

     Thanks for the post.
