Sounds like a great idea to me.

Just bought a house in Venice, Florida

Getting the house in NJ ready for sale.

Can not believe how much junk that can be collected in 30 years.

Guest Hoss Carpenter, SASS Life 7843

We are just before putting our House in Chattanooga on the market and moving to Melbourne, FL. Been there twice in the last three months and love it. My next CAS Club: The Indian River Regulators!

Fill the State with Cowboys!

Curley - watch out for Cypress Sun, he's way too nice a guy.

Probably on the run, I'm thinkin'.

Maybe that's just my Outlaw 6th sense kickin' in.

Rancocas - Dang, my Aunt and Uncle live in Venice.

UB's right that's a right fine place to settle down.

The Missus and I lived in North Jersey for 10 years.

You're gonna have quite a choice of Cowboy shoots to go to there.

Hoss Carpenter - Don't know much about the East Coast.

But heck, it's gotta be warmer than Chattanoogy.

Welcome to Florida!

So how long will it take you to swap your Illinois FOID card for a Florida CCW permit?

I would burn the FOID card! ;)

Curley:

Please be sure to keep us up on your move and how you like Tampa; I look at FL real estate ads from time to time and ponder retirement. Most of me has no intention of leaving New England, but when the snow flies, my aging mind turns to sun and sailing and anything but shoveling.

Good for you Curley! Best of luck on your new adventure. I'm trying to get out of Northeast Ohio myself. It's a long hard task!
