Howdy,

I just happened to buy something on ebay.

Its coming from Ukraine of all places.

Supposedly it shipped tuesday.

An odd deal considering the war and all.

I will post how it goes.

And just to give a warm fuzzy feeling it was clearly stated   NO RETURNS.

It should get here okay. I’ve bought a number of wood working tools and accessories from Ukraine over the last couple of years and they arrived on time. The first set of Kumiko angle jigs that I ordered right after the war started got here within 2 weeks, which was faster than the seller estimated.

Howdy,

Tracking shows it is now in Kiev.

Can you imagine?

Too bad there is no video.

And that mail order bride could deliver it Fine by me.

About a year ago, I placed an Amazon order, one item being a bottle of Loctite. The Loctite was delayed and arrived a week and a half after the rest... signature required... from India! Drop-shipped 8000 miles, halfway around the word, with free Amazon shipping.

I got a good deal on some municipal bonds from Kiev recently.     High interest, short turn around time for maturity.

And you thought you were lucky.    I got friends everywhere.

Might as well buy Ukrainian bonds....If there were any actually being sold, they would be backed with US dollars paid via inflation by US taxpayers.

Kind of like those Mexican bonds the treasury department bought with US dollars and to be paid back in worthless pesos under Ronald Reagan.

Did you look at the bottle closely to see if it is a counterfeit?

I heard about that and read up on it - it's got all the correct markers for being genuine and none of the signs of being counterfeit. Henkel/Loctite is in India, oddly enough.

Dead giveaway when the bottle is labeled Soup R Glue.

Likely a good decision.

Friend of mine tried the Mail order bride route.

He admits she's a great help around the bush lot.

I forget which brand of ham radio antenna analyzer was made in Ukraine. Good brand, I was ready to order when the unpleasantness started: the seller said no more were being made, they'd sell current stock and that would be it, so I let that deal pass right on by.

Still don't have an antenna analyzer.

Howdy,

The package arrived this morning...no mail order bride just a postman with a sign off thing.

Its a leather wrap for a Zippo. Very well made with a small chain attachment.

I might look for a pocket watch chain....or not.

20 days to order have it made and ship around the planet.

Not bad.
