It’s my first visit as a shooter and I’m really looking forward to it. Doing a warm up match at 11:00 in the morning. Kinda caravanned out here with my pard Buck Garrett, he beat me by 3 hours.

We picked up our shooters packet this afternoon. Looks like a fast, big, close and fun match. When I got onto CAS in 2007 everyone always told me that I’d have to shoot Bordertown so here I am. I’m going to share a lot of pictures over the next few days so be prepared.

Right now we’re getting a wind and rain storm from the looks and sound of things there could be some wind damage. This evening we’re going into Tombstone for dinner and hopefully find a place to watch game 7 of the NLCS.

Entering the range.

It rained like Noah should build an ark as I was nearing Bordertown today.

That rain started about 2 PM.  We got two stages of the Plainsman completed before the deluge hit.  Oh well.  We shoot the Blast (warmup) tomorrow.  Sunny weather is forecast for the rest of the match.

Are they going to try the Plainsman match again later? I was wanting to see it.

My favorite match and I have missed it for the last few years. Enjoy the match and the town.

I have no info.  I just left the range as fast as  I could hoping to stay dry and not get struck by lightning.

Sorry I missed you coming in. I was out in the rain with the Plainsman folks. I guess they decided that standing out in a lightning storm holding an “Iron Rod” wasn’t a good idea.

I got home to Tucson at the tail end of a hail storm with hail up to 3/4” diameter. Yikes!

The box you dropped off is beautiful. Thank you for your contribution.

I have your 16 ga. stuff in my car waiting for you.

I will see you tomorrow.

I enjoy both those spots.  More so the Crystal Palace.  Oddly they have good pizza.  Of course I enjoy Bignose Kates, Doc Holidays, and Four Deuces also.  Have fun.

BT is our favorite match and look forward to it every year. If you like taco salad, the Crystal Palace has a good one.

I am jealous - I used to be able to make Bordertown almost every year (Tucson and Tombstone) but have missed the last few due to time, health or finances.

Love not just visiting Tombstone; but Bisbee (cool little artist town and the Copper Queen mine tour is awesome) and Sierra Vista (usually stay in Sierra Vista; more food choices and all the modern needed conveniences as well).

As well as Kartchner Caverns and all the surrounding area.

The Creeker crew will be planning on returning to the fold next year.

Those of you there this year - have a blast.
