  2. Good shooting with you today @Widder, SASS #59054! It’s always fun to watch you run that ‘97! If it will help get you to Alabama State I can offer you a bunk close to the range, no charge! If not, I’ll see you at the Reckoning!!
  3. I can’t imagine why 9Vs don’t leak, they are only stacks of six small batteries in series.
  4. Wouldn't think in today's technology, they could make a battery that doesn't leak. The damn Duracells ruined my Garmin GPS in the course of a year of sitting with brand new Duracells. I've never had a 9V battery leak, so what's so different. Rarely seen one leak in the package either. But install it in an expensive piece of equipment and boom, the corrosion is there!
  5. Sounds like there’s some serious smoke in the hills! I imagine the outlaws are getting rowdy right about now and old guys who should no better are competing in the hillbilly Olympics.
  6. Maybe if it's real black but pretty sure a little birdy told me you load fake black.
  7. I'm not a veteran. I instinctively dislike the idea of sealing myself in a tank. Seems like putting myself on a bullseye and offering myself as a target. Is fighting in a tank safer than being an infantryman?
  8. Range of motion exercises, aerobics for my heart muscle, sudoku for my brain muscle. If I don't vomit when I look at myself in the mirror, I'm OK.
  9. I shot at an old school club a couple of weeks ago in Missouri, pistol targets were 30-40ft and rifle targets were 75-80ft. Had to perform a task on the clock on every stage. Was a lot of fun! Most of the matches I shoot are fast and close and that's what I like to do but this was a neat experience. I think I only had one clean stage and my fastest was 32 seconds.
  10. Rayovac batteries have ruined several of my flashlites. I will no longer buy them. I've switched to energizers.
  11. Today
  12. At the end of the Silent Generation. Lincoln Logs, Electric Trains, Cap guns & BB guns, Dinky Toys and toy soldiers, best were things we made ourselves. Tree forts, snow forts, not to mention campfires and fireworks! Best of times!
  13. I also use a screw knife or a small screwdriver that I carry on my gun belt.
  14. WD-40 is actually a decent lubricant, However it contains a lot of Paraffins. These stay behind and are what makes WD-40 displace water. In cooler temperatures these paraffins thicken and can restrict the movement of the mechanical parts.
  15. The trigger guard looks right, and you can just see what looks like the cocking handle on it. That square thing is the buckle on the strap of the ill fitting holster she has it in. What I wonder is where is the Bolt Action handle on it.
  16. Cleaning up my shop and found 10 copies of Shoot Magazine that are free plus shipping. Ten total copies from 2005-2007. Interesting to see how many vendors that advertised during this period. DC
  17. I was thinking 1/4" of snow. Sure seemed like more than that. Then I remembered I was thinking about Smoke in the Valley. EOT was cold, drizzly, muddy and if I recall correctly one person got helicoptered out with a broken leg.
  18. I was thinking maybe a Stevens T-bolt , that had been whacked on both ends CB
  19. Looks like a Marlin m65 cut down. Trigger guard looks same. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1042680998 That square block thing on the side looks like a belt clip off a tape measure.
  20. How long is the lid gonna stay on the pressure cooker ? as to the BATFE rules , it is like having the FOX guard the hen house Chickasaw Bill
