Singin' Sue 71615
Man...the rollercoaster on this first 10lbs is hard!!! But...gotta keep moving forward. Traveling for 5 hours, and sitting in the camper all day (it was mighty hot) then 5 hours home did not help me!! Next weekend is cabin time....planning on some walks!!! Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life
Got the scales this am (I weigh myself every am as soon as I get out of bed) down #60. It has taken me a little over a year, averaging a pound a week. Changed my diet, smaller portions and more walking. Still want to lose another 20, this will put me at my playing weight when I played football in college. Keep up the great work, little by little. Dirty Dan Dawkins
Somehow I have managed to sweat and worry myself from 255 to 237 this Summer. If I could get back to 220 again…..the trick is staying there. Shooting for under 230 by my late September moose hunt. Where does it all come from? 29 years ago at 18 I weighed 200-205. It comes from our bodies saying "we don't need that anymore" (estrogine/progesterone) We hurt, so we don't move like we used to. We eat out more. It just does. Problem is we catch it all too late! So...I sat more since Saturday... My neck is stiff...so moving has been rough! I ate bread!!! That is a nono for me, apparently. I have not drank enough water...and you really can not catch up!!! Lets get on track DD!!!
Waxahachie Kid #17017 L
My wife's cancer doctor told her she needs to drink 1/2 her weight, in ounces of water, each day. I sent her a birthday card one time that said: "A gentleman never asks a lady her age. You open up the card and it says: So...how much do you weigh? bgavin
I wish you success... but you will eventually find that cheat days do you dirt. Permanent weight loss requires a permanent change in diet. I'm a labile diabetic and subject to huge glucose swings. I had to walk away from 95% of carbohydrates to get my glucose under control. All the pills and 100 units of insulin daily simply won't control it. Keep a food diary and test results. This will tell you what you can eat. I can eat citrus, watermelon and cantaloupe with impunity. No breads, no cookies, no flour, no wheat and no sugar. No potatoes, no bananas, grapes or other "gushy" food. Crunchy is good, gushy is bad. Ice cream does me far less hurt than a potato, cake or cookies. If I have a carb "cheat day" it takes many days to drain the glycogen from my liver and get back to lower blood glucose levels.
