Marauder SASS #13056 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I'm thinking of getting this little revolver and wondered who makes a holster for it. And how should i wear said holster for an effective draw? Yes, it is a 16 inch barrel.
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Get a Bridgeport device and practice a lot.
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Nah. None of the Above. I mean obviously, it be a Trix question. There is NO way do draw that thin effectively. SO: Put a sling on it and carry is slung across the chest. Or Belly. Or just carry it in yer hand(s)
Cliff Hanger #3720LR Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 As I see it, a clip on belt and end of barrel in boot. <g>
Double Diamond Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 I bet a nice one could be made that resembles a Mare’s leg holster...
Yusta B. Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 I'm thinkin you might want to switch to a scabbard for that 'un ....
Marauder SASS #13056 Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 I did get a kind offer from a leather maker that has done similar holsters, but as you can guess I was mostly joshing. I'm about 5' 9" with30" inseam and I would have significant problems drawing the gun out of a holster. But it might be fun to watch - as long as the gun was surely empty! I figure the handle would be by my ear or a little higher before the barrel would be out of the holster. "Watch me whip this out." Blazing Saddles.
Colorado Coffinmaker Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 At one of our local clubs, we had a shooter that arrived with a Radio Flyer full of guns. Never shot the same gun on two stages. His favorite trick was to shoot a stage with a Buntline in a huge long holster. Next stage, same holster, would yell "watch me whip this out again" and draw a little 3 1/2 inch barrel Thunderer. Righteously funny.
Will Kane Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 You’d have to walk around like Chester Goode in Gunsmoke!
Slowhand Bob, 24229 Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 No problem, a garter strap holding a holster just above the calf should work just fine IF you work on a fast crouch draw.
