DocWard
If I am in the mood for grits, I prefer mine plain with a bit of butter. Never cared for them until Basic Training, then developed a bit of a taste for them.

Yul Lose
I used to work at a dude ranch in Colorado during the summer when I was a teenager and the couple that owned the ranch were from south Texas. Every morning we had to eat a bowl of grits before we could eat the pancakes or French toast or bacon and eggs and such. To this day I cannot stand grits because of that breakfast regiment. Birdgun Quail, SASS #63663
Hey Tyrel, I plan to be at Wartrace on Sat. I hope you are also. I'll be bringing the new toy. ..........Widder Widder, tell the good folks at Wartrace that Birdgun from Arizona says "Howdy." I had my first CAS match at Wartrace with two cowboys that were having their first CAS match also. Those two hombres are: Grey Horse and Randy Saint Eagle. Will Reilly was our posse marshal. Miss having an after match dinner at Bell Buckle Cafe.
Widder, SASS #59054
Birdgun, those Hombres are still kickin and shootin up the town every chance they get. I see Randy quite often. I shot with Will once this summer. He was at the loading table, getting all serious and such like it was the World Championship. You know how that look is on his face. Anyhow, I leaned over and said: "Will, this stage is the kind of stage where Legends are born. If you ace this stage, you'll be a Legend from here to Texas before the sun goes down. But if not, nobody will care who you are". I swear, I think the old feller was gona start laughin out loud. He jacked out a round on that stage and when he got to the loading table, he was still smilin and I said: "Well, there goes your Legendary status". Will is a good man and I always enjoy shooting with him. And there ain't NOBODY in SASS that is probably more fun to shoot with than Randy St. Eagle. Great guy and a great Ambassador in our sport/game. I'll pass along your 'HOWDY'. ..........Widder

Badger Mountain Charlie SASS #43172
No offense, J Bar, but I doubt that anyone can do anything to grits that would make me like them. But, like many things in life, I have eaten them, but I do not like them. End of story.
