Rye Miles #13621
I don't understand why Ohio is not in the top ten! We have virtually no restrictions at all except for no more than a 30 round mag. You can own 50 round drum mags but you can't shoot 'em!!! Also this was done before the "new" carry laws have been modified and restaurant and bar carry too! Ohio is the Wild Midwest! Rye
Dakota Rebel, SASS# 58412
North Dakota scored a 2 (colleges are not forced to allow guns on campus). The largest city (Fargo) doesn't allow open carry in the city except by uniformed police and security guards. If you can legally own a firearm, you can get a concealed carry permit (shall issue). Badlands Beady
There’s even an iPhone and Android app called “legal heat” that you can download on your phone to carry every state’s concealed carry laws with you. Am I the only one that noticed this in the article? I installed it, and the first thing it did for each state I looked at was update itself. Seems pretty complete. Harvey Mushman
Yep Kris, Years of libs movin' in and votin' more and more askew. We now have six years of consecutive population decline, including the increase of illegal immigrants, (never had ONE till then) as businesses and real working folks leave under the increased tax and ludicrous regulatory burdens. CA was once the Aerospace Capital of the US (and World) - the last remaining major Aero company moved it's headquarters in 2011 (Northrop Grumman). 12% of the US population, 37% of the welfare cases (CA rejected the successful Welfare Reform of the 90s). I'll stop before BH gives me a farewell boot. I have lived in ten different states (including CA in the '60s) and WAS planning on retiring in CA. Plans are changing. Eamon Chute
Whoooo-hoooo!!!!...California, 81. That's the best score! Higher than all y'all. What's Better than an 81? I wish I got 81's on tests when I went to high school! Whatcha' mean it's a reverse order score? Are you telling me it's like golf or somerthing where the LOWEST score is best? Well that's not fair. I'd really like to be able to when visiting, but I don't want a long, state paid vacation there. OHIO does have open carry, the problem is that our LEO especially in the urban areas are not up to snuff on the law! Ohio has had open carry for a hundred years! We're also a SHALL issue ccw state. I agree that Cleveland ain't Tucson but then again Tucson doesn't have a PRO- football, basketball and baseball teams and they don't have the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame either. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Tucson but one can make the statement that TUCSON ain't Cleveland! Oh yea did I mention that Cleveland is on the Great Lakes which is the biggest freshwater source in the country? Did ya know that Arizona wants us to ship 'em fresh water???? Hmmmm..........water wars in the future?? :Rye

Rye Miles #13621
Water Quality. FYI, Cleveland's water quality is one of the best in the country! Look it up if ya don't believe me. We do have "filtration" plants here and what does Detroit and Toledo have to do with our water quality??? Have you ever been to Cleveland?? Some of the surrounding areas, our suburbs, are beautiful and the water is clean, clean, clean!! But this post is about gun laws and ours here in Ohio are the equal to any of the "best" states. We are proud to announce that within a matter of days we will be going live with a new program. Due to a bill currently moving through the Colorado legislature, there is the possibility that Colorado residents' ability to purchase standard capacity magazines will soon be infringed. Before that happens, and Magpul is forced to leave the state in order to keep to our principles, we will be doing our best to get standard capacity PMAGs into the hands of any Colorado resident that wants them. Verified Colorado residents will be able to purchase up to ten (10) standard capacity AR/M4 magazines directly from Magpul, and will be given immediate flat-rate $5 shipping, bypassing our current order queue. Our customers outside of Colorado, please know that our PMAG production will continue at an ever-increasing rate until we do relocate, shipments to our distributors in other states will continue, and that we do not expect relocation to significantly impact PMAG production. We are also aware that Colorado is not the only state with existing or pending magazine capacity restrictions; we are working on programs for other affected states as well. Full details and instructions will be announced when we are able to go live; please watch here for the coming announcement.
