You take good care of Ima, Lumps; if you know what's good for you.

Remember, she WILL get better, and she WILL remember. ;^)'

Nope...not yet (knock on wood). Got my flu shot. But, two of my daughters-in-law and one of my sons got it bad. Eight days down with it. They used to brag about never needing to get a flu shot. They're definitely singing a different tune now.

Flu shots are 60% effective. Don't go into town much and I keep a bottle of hand cleaner in my poket when I do.

The media is whipping us ino a frenzy but just remember only about 30 deaths have occurred out of 300 million people.

Inaskedmy doc if I should get a shot. I never have yet.

He said, "You're in good health. If you catch it, you'll get sick, then you'll get better. That's about it."

She's doing quite well; recovering more of her old cantankerousness every day. She's now at the beginning of the end of this successful fight. YeeHAW!

She's been incredibly brave and strong. And things have been consistently breakin' about as good as they could since the start. Kinda makes you wonder if'n someone hasn't been slippin' in a good word with the Boss.

Thanks agin.

Anyone that has the flu ya'll got my sympathy and rest, rest, rest and it'll go away. Most of the deaths from this have been folks with some health problems to begin with. Yep, the media loves a good flu season!

Me and Miss Lorrie been taking flu shots for over 20 years. When she was an elementary school teacher it was guaranteed we all would come down with it when it started going thru.

Haven't had a case since starting the shots.

Had it... got it... gonna have it.

But that is the least of my worries.

I got it. I've felt worse. This is not a recommendation to try it, however.

I slept all night with no continuous coughing. I am up now and have had a glass of OJ. I am now headed back to my isolation cell.

Better that than giving it to the rest of the family.

My Oncologist insisted I get a flu shot before I started chemo. I'm glad I did. I know a few folks who got it and it sounded pretty bad. Not something I would wish on anyone.

Thanks, Hawk, Lumpy, Allie and of course Uno.    I appreciate all the thoughts, wishes and prayers. 1 week of radiation down, 5 to go. Another check up after I'm done and, hopefully, it will be over!!

My employer has offered free flu shots for years. I took it for the first time about 20 years ago in late Sept/early Oct of that year. The week before Christmas I ended up in the hospital with the flu. Decided I didn't want any more flu shots. Never had the flu again. Fast forward to this year. Dr. suggested I start getting the flu shot. You know, gettin older and all! Well, I got one in late Sept. What happens last week? Got the damn flu for the first time since my last bout 20 years ago! Sicker'n a dog. Missed work Thurs, Fri and this Mon. First missed work in several years. Coincidence? May be. But Titus has taken his LAST flu shot. From now on, it's bourbon for me! :D

You pards might think about adding some Vitamin D.

My doc is very high on it, I've read positive studies as a flu fighter, and it seems to be working for me. I take about 16000 IUs a day.
