Subdeacon Joe Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Painting with broad strokes here but - Seems like a bunch of people who are for the most part devout but somewhat irreverent, prone to some personality conflicts but intensely loyal to one another. Courteous, even to some extent courtly, but not above the odd practical joke or snarky comment. The men are 'manly' and capable of being stoic, but not afraid to show their sentimental soft side where women, children, dogs, and friends are concerned. The ladies are feminine and appreciate being treated as Ladies, even as they get down and help dig a stump, sand some drywall, or face plumbing problems. Overall a great bunch of misfits.
Rye Miles #13621 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I take that as a compliment, I think

Utah Bob #35998 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 The Saloon Now some are quite goofy and some are just tough Some talk a lot and some just enough A couple are wrinkly and long in the tooth Some tell tall tales and some stick to the truth We got fat ones and skinny ones in all different shades Smooth caballeros and blushing young maids Some drop in just for a quick lookee see And some hang out here for the fine company There's stove up old cowboys with hair like the snow And some are volcanoes just waitin to blow If you say something stupid they'll cut you no slack Then they'll happily give you the shirt off their back There are mentors who dole out advice from the ages And scribes who contribute in multiple pages Jokesters and teamsters and flyboys and cops Bankers and lawyers and ex-actor flops A real cornucopia. Know what I think? The Saloon is America. Now gimme a drink!
