Alpo Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) That's the group from the Egyptian Obelisk Department, in the archeology department at the local college, training for the Boston Marathon. They're going to run together. That's why they have matching t-shirts. Edited January 3 by Alpo 1 1 Quote

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Not mine. I bought a Colt 1911A1 at the PX on Okinawa and carried it, and I picked up an S&W Model 60 from someone going home. Had a room mate who got a Browning High Power there and knew a Chaplain who did too. Edited February 13 by Forty Rod SASS 3935 1 1 Quote

Even when I was in, ('77-'90) the average Marine would be hard pressed to have one. More senior Officers, probably. 2 Quote
Alpo Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I recall an article in Leatherneck magazine, back in the mid 70s. The lady said that every base housing she had ever lived in, the interior walls were one of two colors. Either white or pale green and she had discovered that THIS brand of white toothpaste and THIS brand of mint toothpaste matched the paint exactly. So when they moved into new base housing, she would put nails in the wall to hold pictures, and when they got transferred she would pull all the nails and plug the holes with toothpaste. 6 2 Quote
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Chihuahuas can be deadly. Mine will lick you to death and shed all over your clothes. She's a great watch dog, too. She'll watch someone steal everything in the house and then beg a ride in their truck. 3 4 Quote
