J-BAR #18287 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Was Dr. Emmet Brown available for additional comment?
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Good on the pilot or whoever for telling the sweet li'l news reporter what the likely cause was.... Bet their switchboard lit right up (metaphorically speaking)!
Hardpan Curmudgeon SASS #8967 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Reminds me of my son coming back from Scout Camp one year: "Dad... I was taking a class for my Personal Fitness merit badge. When we were doing the part on nutrition, the counselor asked for suggestions of good, nutritious foods. When he called on me I suggested 'Soylent Green.' He agreed, and said 'Yup! That's good for you!'"

Dawg Hair, SASS #29557 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Somebody should explain to her that this happens when the dingle arm is bent too far!
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 But really, the prop wash failed to engage!
Chili Ron Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Howdy, There was a tv show Burn Notice, still available in reruns or dvd. They did many little jokes with names and added finding the reference to the show. Most noticable were the Cagney and Lacy references. But the odd little references were scattered around many episodes. Best CR
DocWard Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I know I'm a horrible person, but this one still strikes me as knee slapping funny:

Eyesa Horg Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Surprised it wasn't the chrome muffler bearing!
Charlie Harley, #14153 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 So what do you suppose went through the NTSB’s mind when the reporter asked for comment that the crash might have been due to the “flux capacitator”.

J-BAR #18287 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 There was an episode of Justified in which Marshal Raylan Givens had to deal with two criminals named Baxter and Hawley. Straight out of Silverado.

Null N. Void Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 The flux capacitor can easily be fixed with a left handed ford wrench. It's intuitively obvious to the most casual observer.
