Then a couple of years ago I was reading an article. I don't recall whether it was an article specifically about dead bodies on TV, or whether it was about NCIS and they mentioned the dead bodies. Because they've always got dead bodies on NCIS.

 

It said that human skin reflects light in a particular pattern. If they use a dummy it does not reflect light the same way. So it does not look like a real person.

 

So those people on the autopsy table, with their insides opened up - those are live actors.

 

And I went back to watching to see if I could catch them breathing.
