With taters, eggs, peppers, onions, garlic, and bacon or sausage works .. but I did bacon this week. I make a huge one, and eat it for three breakfast meals. I also love omelets that are stuffed with all kinds of stuff like fresh garlic and feta cheese and mushrooms... I have taken them over a couple times to JJJ's when we are cleaning guns and he says they are great.. lol.. But what can you say to a female with a gun in her hands? Of course my Grandfather would work it all off!! This would be a typical breakfast on the ranch; Scrambled eggs w/cream gravy Bacon Ham sausage Homemade from scratch Bisquits (MMMMMMM) Homemade butter Hash Browns Honey Peach or Fig Preserves and sometimes Pork Chops We won't even get into Lunch and Dinner at the Ranch!!! Dang It!! Fresh fruit or preserves or even fruit salsa is good stuff, but you gotta' pick yer spots!! (this feller puts fruit in chili fer cryin' out loud) Three eggs over easy, a good sized country ham steak, sliced tomato (chilled),a rasher of bacon, three or four hot (spicy) sausage patties, country biscuits with real butter and honey, and a short stack of buttermilk/whole wheat pancakes with blueberry or raspberry syrup and again real butter! And then it all caught up with me.... So now, it's 8 ounces of 1% milk, a measure of protein powder, a banana, some fiber, and the day's pills, all in the blender with some ice.... Drinking your breakfast is no way as satisfying...but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to stay alive. What I'd give for a creme filled doughnut.....
