But only up to 12 inches, not 14. Still good cause to go get a gallon of milk today. Going to make some cupcakes later so do not need white bread, have toilet paper, ... Also wine, chocolate, fix'ins for chili... I think the only other thing is to go fill up fuel tanks since I won't be driving anywhere.

watab kid
that looked a lot like what we were presented here last night - predicted 3" of snow and we got a dusting , but it did get cold so that purple stuff is somewhat accurate , probably better than the weather guy/gal - but shes better to look at so i accept what she says easier

I have never understood the logic in that. When I lived in North Carolina the first snow that occurred when we had just moved there my wife and I went to the store. The bread aisle appeared to have been looted. The dairy case had no milk nor anything liquid that resembled milk. I asked the clerk what happened and I got the old funny line “You ain’t from around here, are ya?” The lady explained it this way: ”Here in the Carolinas of there is even a rumor of snow people rush to the store and stock up on milk and bread.” I said “Why?” ”God only knows, but it’s what we do.” The next year it snowed and the normal abnormal run on bread and milk occurred. The day after the snow melted the fridge and cabinets at work were full of milk and bread because everyone thought the people at work could use it since “we all didn’t get snowed in”. A week later the trash cans are full of unopened jugs of milk and loaves of bread. It happened all 5 years I lived there.

Blackwater 53393
The “purple stuff” is the coloring on the map in the OP’s picture. ”Smells better” refers the the weather girl in Watab’s last post in comparison to the infant in FKCGG’s post!!

They have to make sacrificial french toast to appease the snow gods as near as i can figure. Or they make french toast and throw it on their driveways to melt the snow. Never made sense to me either

He told me that they checked with the National Weather Service and that's what they broadcasted. Hell, the NWS doesn't even know where Arizona is, much less what our weather here is at any given time.
