most of the world doesn’t like rootbeer because it is the basic flavor used to make medicines, cough syrup, for example.

More for me.

Howdy,

Diet root beer is the only diet drink I like.

I cant believe how terrible some diet pop tastes, yet it sells.

Best

Nice endeavor....but, I'm lazy.  So I'm going to be sticking with my Barge's.

looks like a lot of work , digging the sassafras , then pealing it , grinding it and such

then sorting out the fancy little still thing

think I will just buy rootbeer

Well, you can use it for sassafras tea, too.

When I was a kid we made sassafras tea.  One Dad in the neighborhood was quite a woodsman and hunter and taught his sons.  Haven't thought about it in years.  None I know of near here or I'd try it again.

Yup!!  I'm with Presidio!!  I are also lazy and it much much easier to just buy my Root Beer.  I also happen to be a big fan of "Virgils" Root Beer.  Quite Yummy you betcha!!

When I started driving and dating,  there was an A&W in town. It was the local hangout.  You could get a baby mug of root beer for 5 cents. I think a big mug for 15.  You could buy it by the gallon in a glass jar.  Take it home and bring it back for refill.

We have sassafrass here on the farm. Drank sassafrass tea often.  Suppose to thin your blood. Sweeten with honey.

None of our local grocers have Sarsaparilla.

When EOT first came to NM, they had a vendor that sold root beer and other flavors. You could buy their bottle and get it refilled for a dollar.
Got a lot of refills. :D

There was a guy that came to Mule Camp like that, too.

About once every 10 years or so, I'll stop and get a root beer at the A & W. Not a giant, just a medium. Tastes just like it used to, good...but then I don't buy another one for another 10 years. Don't know why, just do.
