It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Scoutten.

In his thirty years of reporting the shooting sports, Jim played a pivotal role in the industry and will be greatly missed.

Sad news indeed. I had the opportunity to meet and talk to him on several occasions at NRA Conventions. One time I was wearing a Shooting USA shirt and he came over and said he wanted a picture with me. Great guy. He will be missed. RIP Jim.

Sad news indeed. Rest In Peace Sir!

It was his show many years ago that introduced me to Cowboy Action Shooting.

I met him a couple of times, several years ago.

He came to Wartrace with a crew and shot with us at our monthly match. They filmed the match and did a large segment on CAS and SASS that ran several times on Outdoor Network.

Does anyone know what happened? The last Shooting USA I saw was hosted by his son and I wondered if something was wrong. He will be missed

The cowboy bustin’ through the door with the red shirt in the opening scene is me.

Back then I still had some color in my hair!

Cool! If they ever play it again I’ll keep my eye out for ya!!

Maybe it’s on YouTube or I could search for old segments.
