If I remeber correctly there is a scene in the film where he is wearing a U.S. uniform and has a sheathed sword. The tip of the sheaths is dragging on the floor. Probably the best actor though wasn't him or Ken Watanabe, but Hiroyuki Sanada (who plays the Samurai who detests him). Basically he's a modern-day Toshiro Mifune.
